Premise

There is a lull to be sure even in Chaldea where work is continually being done in order to restore human history. But the work is important, as it is dangerous and even the Servants and their Master need to recover from the various types of combat situations they find themselves in.

So sure, lull it is, but it's honestly never a dull day in Chaldea. With Servants like these? Impossible.

"Chaldea Phantasm" is an open sandbox RP post for players to roleplay in the setting based on the mobile game, Fate Grand Order and the Fate franchise. You can play out scenarios between Master and Servant(s), Servants fighting each other, monsters, material/event grinding, AUs, etc.

This post will have actual prompts that can be used at your leisure! Otherwise, feel free to write up your own scenario within the presented setting.

A) Oh Nooooooo Nurse!

You just came back from gathering materials or a particularly nasty battle (curse those wyverns)! The infirmary is there for Servants and Master to rest in although they better hope that a certain vigilant nurse isn't there to meet them. Trying to heal those cuts and burns are the least of your worries when amputation is the cure.

Better hope some of the other Servants with healing skills are there instead! In the meanwhile, the infirmary is stocked with all the basic first aid, medicine, and even vitamin gummies. Yum!

B) FOUVASION...!

How's our furry friend been doing? How adorable, Fou's been running in the hallway. And seen in the kitchen. And then the training room. And then behind that plant. And under the bed. And then on the ceiling. And then a giant Fou-kun in the hall...

Uh oh. Maybe one of the Casters have gone hog wild in cloning our best runner. Chaldea is filling up to the brim with Fou!! What do you do!?

[So, on her Saber's recommendation, Ayaka has been practicing her Formalcraft, which is basically some kind of extremely ritual-based magic involving locations and a bunch of other stuff. In other words, we have no idea what it does, but Ayaka here's got a knack for it.

What does this mean? This means she accidentally teleported herself into Chaldea.

... And then Fou found her. Whether it's the original or one of the existing clones is uncertain at this time, but now there are more Fous thanks to him pawing his way into the site of a ritual gone wrong.

They aren't birds, but Ayaka is now covered in them. This is not okay.]

1. A Queen in Her Castle

[Of course the most likely person you're going to meet in the infirmary is a nurse of steel, the lady with a lamp, Florence Nightingale herself. You've probably heard the rumors, seen the threats of amputation. Is a broken arm or a deep cut really that much of a big deal to go to her?

Possibly, yes. If she's not attending to anyone she appears to be working on some kind of book? Possibly. It's also possible it's just notes on patients.

Either way, do be careful. Her pistol is always at hand and a bullet wound definitely is an excuse for amputation.]

2. Unsanitary

[One Fou was one thing. She could shuffle Fou out of the infirmary and spray down some disinfectant. The fact is there are more than one now and that? That is aggravating. As soon as she throws one out another one takes it's place.]

Annoying! Frustrating! I need more disinfectant...!

[She needs some help before she heads towards the gun again.]

3. Wildcard

[Maybe you've dragged Nightingale away from the infirmary. Maybe you're visiting her for non medical reasons. This is the option for you! Just throw your ideas at me.]

A: So now the tables turn.

[Rama is in perfect condition right now, and having not gone on any expeditions, he's decided to help Nightingale out in her infirmary. Except, are you sure you want him helping?]

So before Nightingale jumps you and says something about needing to destroy all your pathogens or whatever, tell me what happened and I'll show you to a bed. Don't worry, she won't amputate anything! I think there's a rule against that right now.

[He's got a serene and earnest smile on his face. Actually, it's also kind of smug as fuck.]

B: Fou or Foul?

[With that many tiny critters ready to Swoop And Attack, with their soft fluffiness, Rama really has to do something about this before another Fou invades. Basically, he remember watching a movie similar to this in the entertainment room (it was Gremlins) and it didn't end well. So, don't kill the critters, because Fou would be mad but also they could accidentally clone more.

They need a plan.]

[The Fous are becoming quite a hassle. No matter how many times she shoo's them away (she's fairly sure they're faster than her gun and punching them doesn't seem to do anything). She had started spraying them with water when she hears the cry from down the hall.

She doesn't have the exact bag but she makes a makeshift carrying device with a belt and a sheet before running.]

Where is the patient?!

Heh, shouldn't we call it the Fou bag now?

[TEAM SABER READY TO GO HERD SOME FOUS.]

[Yan Qing just happens to pass by when he sees Ayaka. That's a lot of Fous, but is he going to help her? Nah. He watches on from a distance because one, she's not his master and two, he's an asshole.]

Hahahaha! Well, well, well! What do we have here? You're not part of the staff, but you're not Servant either. And you can't be from the Mage's Association... Hm, hm. I see. In normal circumstances, I have to kill you.

[She will never escape handsome dangerous men. This is just her life now!!!]

Well, whatever else Ayaka may be, she’s not a blithering moron. “In normal circumstances” - meaning things are off right now, for some reason. So she doesn’t have to waste the power in her ring - yet. As for who this guy is, he’s clearly a Servant, and the only one she hasn’t run into yet is Assassin.

(While she may be right about the class, it’s for the wrong reasons. Not that she knows that.)

But that “normal circumstances” thing has her attention, even more so than the Fou currently trying to use her as a climbing post. She’ll focus on that for now.]

Excuse me, but what do you mean by “normal circumstances”? Could it be that the War is somehow on hold right now?

[Robin is covered in Fous. Some nestled in his hair, some on his shoulders. One is in his pocket, peeking out.

And COCK ROBIN, his cute little birb, is not happy about having his usual resting place invaded, too. It's flying over to Rama as soon as he shows and lands on his head, squawking.

Robin is squawking, too.]

A. Infirmary Monster

[So your Luck Rank may have bailed you out and instead of the Berserker Nurse, you are met with a cheerful fairy girl instead. She's in the infirmary, ready to heal and seal all hurts and wounds (thanks, Gratitude A).

... Although, while she was waiting for any party to come back, you're going to find someone wrapped up in white rolled bandages instead because someone got bored and got into the medical supplies. Oops.]

... Oh, dear! I know I'm supposed to help our Master, but it looks like I'm in a bit of a bind myself! Ahhh, how did it get so confusing?! I just wanted to see how to wrap these properly...!

[Caster is helpful, really. She'll do some healing eventually.]

B. A Peaceful Fouvasion

[Wow, all those Fous sure are troublesome. Some of them even got into the food supplies, so that'll be another week of replenishing those food stuffs along with material gathering. But not all is white and fluffy chaos. In fact, in the middle of the pandemonium, Caster can be found sleeping, enveloped in a giant fluffy Fou-kun who is laying on all fours in another hallway off to the side. There open bags of snacks, like chips and cookies, and cans of tea laying around the giant Fou and the guilty Caster in question. They both look quite content although, with the giant creature, it's hard to tell. It might just be staring at you menacingly and daring you to come close and disturb Giang Huong's slumber.

She stirs a little, mumbling in her nap.]

Nnnn. Too many ghosts to fight...

C. Wildcard

[We can do anything!]

[Said Berserker Nurse was out of the infirmary for a quick visit to a Servant who was too stubborn to actually come by. She needed some supplies when she sees a particular fairy all wrapped up in clean bandages. One look tells her that said fairy isn't injured at all so she didn't need them.

The pun didn't help either.]

What are you doing?! I'm going to have to throw all those out and resupply the infirmary! Just hold still--

[She's getting a pair of scissors. Jeeze, Casters can be a pain.]

Eh? Berserker?

[She may or may not sound nervous. It's rare for Giang to express fear even in the face of all their enemies, but then again, Florence Nightingale is a different matter.]

Um...! I-If I roll around on the ground, maybe I'll unwrap myself??

...? The War... Ah, that. Mmm, yeah. The War...

I have no idea what you're talking about!

That's unsanitary. That said, you've tied some of it in knots by accident. If you hold still the cloth should come away easily.

[Thankfully it's just a pair of scissors, albeit ones usually for surgery. It's better than a scalpel or a saw...] However. I'm not responsible if you flinch.

[Rude??? If she wants to cut someone she'd do so intentionally.]

[That said, she only makes a handful of snips along the worst of the knots before setting the scissors down. A few unwrapping movements later--]

Operation successful. [She's about to get up when she stops.] Nursing is better if it's taught rather than learned alone. If you need to practice your wrapping technique you may practice it on me.

[Since these bandages are now unfit for a patient that's the least she can do to salvage them before destroying them.]

[Freedom! But Giang pauses from darting out of the infirmary when Berserker mentions practicing with the bandages.]

Oh... You wouldn't mind if I used you for practice?

[It's kind of interesting, she's not sure where this will take her, but why not]

I mean... I was just playing, but I do feel bad for wasting them on myself. I forget stuff like this isn't a toy.

[It's for fixing humans after all.]

It's for the more fragile here in Chaldea after all.

[She's about to give a lecture about how the supplies aren't to be wasted but it seems the experience is enough. Berserker gives a slight nod.]

These will need to be disposed of. If some good for future patients can come out of it then yes, you may. I do know the proper technique, after all.

[Besides, even if she ends up wrapped in bandages she does have the strength of a Berserker to break free.]

You've seemed to realize that these supplies are for patients not play. That alone is enough for me to offer my arm.

A: TRUST ME, I'M A DOCTOR

[Nightingale isn't the only one keeping vigil in the Chaldea infirmary. If you're lucky...well, relatively lucky, this guy will meet you. While he doesn't exactly advocate amputation or bullet wounds as a treatment, he has also spent a good chunk of his life executing people. One might say he holds both life and death in his hands, as a doctor and a headsman.

The moment you step in, Sanson's eyes are quick to scrutinize you and your hurts. And that look in your eyes.]

I know what you're thinking. No, you do not need to be amputated.

B: A FOU-LISH MISTAKE

[There's something white and fluffy and moving. You're probably tempted to bag it, to shoot something at it, to do anything to stop the onslaught of Fous. It's understandable, to be wound up like this considering the current invasion Chaldea is facing.

Except that, whatever it was you shot at, or tried to hit, was it really a Fou?]

[No, but good job on taking aim at Sanson's head of hair. He whips around, one hand over his head.]

[if injured servants don't want to deal with Hard Lovin' TLC in the infirmary, marie's here to help! her noble phantasm might not provide the biggest of heals, but... it comes with a horse! servants in the area get a minor heal and have their status conditions removed, while marie stands near a cart of pastries.]

I know it isn't much, but I hope I can help you recover from your time on the battlefield. When I'm feeling under the weather, I love to eat my favorite dessert—ah, Sophie, please be gentle with them...!

[a horse may or may not be licking other servants' faces if they get too close.]

b. a queen's duty

[alternatively, maybe marie is the one who took a few too many buster cards to the face. she may be a nigh unkillable tank, but absorbing all those hits racks up eventually, even with invincibility.

she's nursing an ugly scratch on her cheek courtesy of a ghost, but when she notices someone who might start doting on her, she waves them off and covers the mark on her face with a free hand.]

Hm? Oh, please don't worry about me—I'm as fine as a newly bloomed flower, hehe!

c. vive la fourance

[and, last but not least, it looks like marie is utterly enthused by the fou flood. there are fous on her pigtails, fous on her dress, fous underneath her hat...]

( i don't have a proper info post set up for malter here, but the general gist is that she's a physical manifestation of all the negative beliefs the french people had about marie, whether they were true or not. so she hates her people for subjecting her to death, she's a promiscuous sadist, she recklessly wastes her people's money on herself... think the "other marie(?)" in her second interlude, ramped up to 11. she dresses similar to marie, but with a darker color scheme and a very prominent scar on her neck. )

a. let her eat cake

[if your luck rank is nonexistent, you'll probably run into this twisted version of the french queen instead of the usual one. despite the blatant health violations, she's thought it appropriate to be hanging out in the infirmary, using a scalpel (?!) to serve herself a piece of cake. if you approach her, she'll just stare at you mid-bite, then rudely dismiss you with a frown.]

Why are you looking at me like that? I have no reason to help you. Now leave me alone—my brioche isn't going to eat itself.

[They say it's not easy being beautiful. It's especially not easy being beautiful when your looks come with Target Focus. The Chevalier d'Eon may likewise be a tank, but taking all those hits to save everyone else is a rough life.

d'Eon is clutching an ice pack to their head, and instead of wearing gloves they are sporting bandages on their hands. Their face is scratched up an bruised, as well.

The horse recognizes d'Eon right away and proceeds to lick their face. Thanks, they were cursed from their last battle, too. Despite the pain, they chuckle and reach out to stroke Sophie's muzzle.]

Bonjour, Sophie. It's good to see you too. [In more ways than one.]

Gah!

[It's Robin's own fault for holding out a ~~Golden~~ apple for it to munch on. Sophie was just thanking him. There's horse drool all over his face when he looks towards Marie...

And some of his hair is sticking up in a cowlick. Er, horselick. Nasty.]

Relax, she's fine.

[AS FOR HIM? He at least gets the slobber off his face with his hand and wipes it on whatever is nearby. Someone's back that isn't paying attention to him. They look over their shoulder to see who's touching them but Robin has already ditched them to peer at the pastries Marie's been handing out.]

[There are many things wrong with this. Not just because of the fact that their Master summoned an Alter of Marie. No, the fact that she's decided that eating in the infirmary (when she's not a patient) and using medical equipment to do so is appropriate.]

Leave you alone? This is hardly the place to be eating. Get out.

[Caster is rolling the bandages into neater spheres, intent on making them look nice before starting any kind of practice on her fellow Servant.]

... Say, Berserker... In your former life, you didn't have any sort of magic or magecraft to heal your patients like I do right? Or similar to the other Casters?

[There's an obvious tone of curiosity in her voice and this is one of the few times she's talked to the nurse. She kind of wants to know more.]
