You are in the town of Blackgale, specifically within the town's pride and joy, The Blackgale Rose Garden. Tonight the garden is basking in the soft glow from the full moon and stars, making the hundreds of white roses look especially luminescent.

This garden, however, is far from an ordinary garden.

That's sort of hard to miss when little bright pearls of starlight start falling from the sky like snow and disappearing once they hit the grass and flowers. Fancy a romantic date? A casual nighttime stroll? It's all up to you. Doesn't matter who you are or where you're from.

Oh yeah, and someone has magically set up a music player somewhere playing this song.

[Amelia doesn't act cheerful around others that often, but tonight is a nice night... She's the one using simple light magic to make it look like it's raining stars after all and she took out her old CD player to play the song she used to listen to when she was six...

Well, whatever. The red headed witch is humming along with the song as she strolls through the garden as stars float gently down from the sky.]

[ Warren comes strolling up behind her. He's in a good mood, all things considered, and leans over her shoulder ] Is this your doing?

Oh! [Caught by surprise]

Well... Yes... [Wasn't expecting anyone here and if this person is just regular, well nothing magic can't fix :|a]

I thought it would be a nice touch to the garden.

[spellbent]

It's a cute little trick, I'll admit. [ he sounds a little bit like he wouldn't be caught dead doing such a thing, though ]

[And suddenly she feels irritated. Not that hard to achieve admittedly.]

I'll take that as a compliment.

I haven't seen you around in this town before. New I take it?

[spellbent]

World hopping. It seemed like a good enough place as any.

[recluserose]

... I see. [Okay, now that just sounds like something her teacher does and she is on her guard.]

[spellbent]

... You seem awful calm about my just... showing up.

[recluserose]

Do I honestly look like someone who would fly off the handle at the slightest thing?

[spellbent]

I've never been one to judge. [ lies. ]

[recluserose]

In all honesty, I don't believe you Mr. West.

[spellbent]

No? Is that one of your talents, or are you just guessing?

[recluserose]

How about I say that I'm talented at making good guesses?

[The falling starlight slowly ceases to fall, but the song continues to play, albeit at a lower volume]

What brings you town?

[spellbent]

An angry fire elemental in my basement, actually.

[recluserose]

... No, really, I'm serious.

[spellbent]

So am I.

[recluserose]

[Sighs.] Fine, fine.

[spellbent]

You still don't believe me, do you?

[recluserose]

It sounds ridiculous, but I'll try to mask my disbelief for the most part. There's usually no reason for another magic user to appear in this town seeing as I'm the only witch here.

[spellbent]

I picked it at random, to be honest. [ he looks around, frowning slightly ] I didn't exactly have the time to do much picking and choosing.

Do the people who live here know you're a witch?

[recluserose]

Nope. My status as one is not something I can tell a normal person freely.

[spellbent]

You can't or won't?

[recluserose]

'Can't' is more like it. It's sort of an unofficial thing, but there's a group called the Magicians Guild that oversees most of the activities of other witches and wizards in this world. The top priority is making sure the magic world keep to themselves.

[spellbent]

Mm. We have a similar set of rules at home.
