[He answers in less than a second.]

They're right up there. Next to bunnies and you.

... Okay.

Turn around first.

[theshiningone]

Huh? Um... Okay.

[He's a bit confused, but he's doing it.]

[emotive]

[As he turns around, Ai takes the edges of her top and pulls it off, over her head and then folds it, making her effectively, topless. That's all she's going for though since her tan skirt remains in place and she tucks her legs under the folds so that she's sitting, facing Hiro, with her hands in her lap.]

Okay. I'm done.

[ Well, he kinda asked.]

[So Hiro turns around to see what she had in store and ends up completely red in the face from seeing her utterly topless. The fact that Ai did it without any embarrassment was what got to him by surprise.]

WHAAAAAAAA--?!

[Give him a few minutes since his brain completely short circuited.]

[emotive]

[It's not like her face isn't pink and even more so when Hiro reacts with shock. She's feeling petulant though, so she glances to the side, responding with a minor retort.]

Ah. I don't think you can actually sleep well anymore.

[To say that this was new territory for Hiro was an understatement. It's not like he didn't enjoy the sight of her belly button... But it would've been more fun if she was being embarrassed or awkward. Honestly seeing her looking miffed was putting him in an awkward place.]

I'm getting the sinking feeling that you're still mad at me... Are you?

[He still had a lot to learn about girls.]

Maybe a little.

[Ai sighs and then she shifts a bit so that she can just lay down on her side as her head finds rest on a pillow. Her blue eyes are looking up at Hiro and her hair drapes across her body and across her bare stomach. You'd think she'd be more embarrassed, being so vulnerable and exposed, but honestly? She just wanted to kind of get back at Hiro in her own way for his teasing and for paying attention to Lien.

I'm still childish in that way aren't I?

That's what she's thinking anyways. She covers her mouth, yawning lightly.]

But I think you can fix that even if nothing is going to happen tonight.

[It was almost as if Hiro's earlier desires were completely gone and forgotten. Sure, he could've pushed it again... But Ai was looking tired and he was also feeling starting to feel a bit drowsy. Not to mention, he was pretty absorbed in wondering how to make up for things... He was smarter than this!

Though it wouldn't had been the first time that he was lacking in vision or being completely focused in his own little world. Sometimes, that was why he lets other people come up with ideas and he adopted them as his own if they aligned with his similar train of thoughts. He flops next to Ai with his arms behind his head and shuts his eyes...

But the silence on his end wasn't due to him sleeping on her. Hiro was actually thinking really hard with his face furrowed... At least this showed that he was taking this seriously.]

Mmrgh... I'm tryin' to think of a cool or bombastic idea, but nothing's coming out. I usually get a Hiroic Spark in my head when it happens.

[Maybe because you're OVERTHINKING IT, Hiro. He rolls over with his back facing her while making more silly grumbling noises. Eventually, he lets out a frustrated sigh and faces her seriously.]

Okay, Ai. [A beat.] Look, I'll be real with you and say this. I'm a huge fucking idiot who really loves having fun! Sometimes, I get SO caught up in my own fun that I often forget how other people feel! That's why I'm so frustrated with myself right now!

[It was less self-deprecation and more of the truth from his eyes. He's not finished from here...]

But I still wanna do my damnest to make you happy. So just tell me what to do and I'll definitely go for it. Eat my own socks? Sleep in the chair pose? Name it and I'll do it!

[emotive]

[Oh, Hiro...

Ai is quiet for a few seconds, looking at Hiro's back. Then she moves closer, placing her hands on his shoulders.]

Don't be silly.

[And then, she gives him a boon by embracing him from behind her body pressed against his back.]

We're just sleeping quietly tonight aren't we? And you aren't leaving my side. It's as simple as that.

[Wait what? He was so used to doing bigger things like fight alien threats, demon who were bigger than him, defeat a alien star god and even the Divien Order of the Universe itself... Those over-the-top things had became his 'simple' now. Once you did that stuff, you weren't considered normal anymore.

The warmth on his back had felt nice that makes Hiro glance behind him... You could see the question marks forming on top of his head.]

Is that really all I have to do? I can even go fetch a star out of the sky or something.

[emotive]

Mm hm. And the star sounds nice, but you holding me and me holding you is much nicer.

[And really, she's just snuggling up to him, looking very comfortable and very content. It's as if nothing could move her from her spot, not even the promise of a tasty meal.]

You're weird.

[Yet this is said more affectionately than as an insult. But that was something that he could do quite easily. So he turns himself around so he's facing her and places his hands around her waist to bring her in closer.]

Most girls would jump for the chance at getting a free star from a god.

[emotive]

Maybe when... You're...

[Maybe when you're gone, is what she was going to say.

But her eyelids are closing and she's clearly very drowsy. It was a long day, a strange night that would have ended in something more exciting, but it ends on a quiet and comforting note for Ai.

After all, she wanted to love and be loved in return. To be held and have that returned was just one form of that and more than enough in some ways. She squeezes Hiro as he brings her closer, resting her forehead on his chest. He wasn't human anymore, but he was here with her. That was what mattered.]
