[ He's about to tell Lien that he can ask the others on his own, but the question is cause for hesitation. He scrutinizes her, eyes narrowing just a fraction, before he opens his mouth again.

The date he gives her is an approximation to the current date, but a year or so behind. The truth of the flipphone is that he's from Iceland, and he's not in the company of very affluent people, really. ]

Well, you see sometimes this cafe gets all sorts so if you were like from the 80s or 90s or something, I wanted to see if I could blow your mind with my smart phone...
