[After a wild weekend in the town of Blackgale, specifically at Amelia's house, the witch spent most of her time smoothing things over with the questioning locals, grading all of her student's neglected essays, and trying to apologize to the talking cat commune for not warning them about the huge human gathering. It's tough being the only witch in town sometimes. She needed to relax. What does she plan?

Why, another trip to Las Vegas, Nevada of course! Well, it wasn't so much to enjoy the tempting offers of Sin City, but to visit the person Amelia was now comfortable calling a friend, the owner of the... interesting club, Griffonx. Madigan of course!

A quick magic teleportation and search for the hidden club later, Amelia opens up the door to the establishment, dressed casually.

It should be a normal day with nothing unexpected happening whatsoever...]

[He peers over her shoulder at the screen.]

... I suppose. More like extreme shorthand.

How long will it take for the message to reach her?

Seconds, but whether or not she notices it when it arrives is another matter.

--and oops, into the casino they go! The crowd within is lively and distracted, so no one has seemed to notice their rather sudden appearance.]

[The casino inside the Bellagio is understandably crowded. It's loud, people go in groups, some dressed casually, some dressed for parties, drinks in hand...

And somehow, Amelia is still able to hear her cellphone alert her for a text. She reaches into her pocket to check her messages and grimaces at the butchering of the English language]

Ah. Madigan's wondering where we are.

[He watches as Amelia checks her phone (silly Midgardian contraptions; far too complicated for their own good, accentuating the clutter this realm already suffered from--) and responds idly.]

We have been gone for a fair amount of time, though I'm surprised it has taken them this long to notice.

[He gets that look in his eyes, coupled with a grin.]

You should respond to them with something vague, confusing, and perhaps slightly worrying for their delay.

[But she simply texts back to Madigan:]

'I'm inside the Bellagio with Loki. I got lost and he found me so we're just going to check out the casino.

P.S. You don't need to text like that. I find it unnecessary and worrisome.'

[And she hits send. She is. So. Boring Proper...]

But I don't think I of all people should be letting them worry.

[ aaaand a quick text back... well, maybe not so quick. This one might arrive in parts. This is her trying to make a point. ]

My dearest Amelia, we are merely worried about you, being as you are keeping company with the God of Mischief. I do not doubt your ability to take care of yourself, but I am truly unsure of his intentions. (It's clear he's taken an interest in you.) Try to enjoy yourself, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything.

In the meantime, Thor and I have retired back to the Griffonix. That is where you will find us.

P.S. I don't look like an old lady, so I try not to text like one. It's called blending in. You should try it.

[The text arrives in parts and Amelia raises a brow]

They're back at her club. It seems that we'll be free to be left to our own devices. [And at the part where Madigan is suggesting a certain something... She makes no indication on her face so she just texts back]

Thank you for your concern. I'll be sure to get in touch with you if anything beyond my control occurs. I'm rather uncertain about keeping such company, but then again that seems to be a default factor in my day to day life. C'est la vie.

I'll try to meet back in two hours at the least.
