[After a wild weekend in the town of Blackgale, specifically at Amelia's house, the witch spent most of her time smoothing things over with the questioning locals, grading all of her student's neglected essays, and trying to apologize to the talking cat commune for not warning them about the huge human gathering. It's tough being the only witch in town sometimes. She needed to relax. What does she plan?

Why, another trip to Las Vegas, Nevada of course! Well, it wasn't so much to enjoy the tempting offers of Sin City, but to visit the person Amelia was now comfortable calling a friend, the owner of the... interesting club, Griffonx. Madigan of course!

A quick magic teleportation and search for the hidden club later, Amelia opens up the door to the establishment, dressed casually.

It should be a normal day with nothing unexpected happening whatsoever...]

... I don't know, being a queen sounds awful tempting. [ she grins right back, glad he understands ]

[And he takes her hand for a courtly kiss, but there's nothing chaste about the look in his eyes as he lingers over her hand.]

[ She knows that look, and she quirks a brow. ] I daresay you have something on your mind.

[mjolnir_time]

[He tugs gently on her hand to draw her a little closer.]

It seems our companions still have not found their way back to us. We are on our own for the moment with no plans.

[And then there's a small frown.]

I must admit, I am a bit concerned that my brother seems to be paying court to Amelia.

[griffonix]

[ She goes willingly, resting her free hand on his chest. There's a grin on her face, until Thor makes that remark ]

Wait, he's what?

[mjolnir_time]

[He raises an eyebrow.]

You had not noticed? She has definitely caught his interest.

[griffonix]

[ Come to think of it, he did follow Amelia all the way to Vegas. ]

... I feel terrible for asking this, but he's not going to try anything funny, is he?

[mjolnir_time]

Most likely he already has. He is the God of Mischief after all.

[He doesn't seem too worried about that though.]

I doubt he would harm her, if that is your concern? Not intentionally.

[griffonix]

Intentionally or not, I'm still a little worried. [ frown ]

It can be very difficult to determine Loki's motives, especially these days.

Perhaps I should give him the same warning your Griffon gave to me?

[griffonix]

... Do you think that would work?

[mjolnir_time]

It cannot hurt.

[He pauses, then sighs.]

Or perhaps it can. If it comes from me, he may take it as a challenge rather than a warning. I fear he sees us as enemies rather than brothers these days.

It may be safer to say nothing and simply keep an eye on him.

[griffonix]

Perhaps that would be best. Not that I doubt Amelia's ability to take care of herself.

I do not doubt her abilities either, but I know my brother. He can be dangerously unpredictable, and he has fooled people much more clever than me.

[griffonix]

[ She sighs ] Now you've got me all worried.

Maybe we should go look for them.

[mjolnir_time]

Perhaps we should.

[He looks a bit disappointed though.

And thus Loki manages to be a cockblock without even being around. He'd probably love that.]

[ she digs around in her purse and retrieves her phone. It takes her only a second to shoot Amelia a quick text: ]

where r u? do we need 2 save u from loki?? :P

[He peers over her shoulder at the screen.]

... Is this some kind of code?

[griffonix]

... I suppose. More like extreme shorthand.

[mjolnir_time]

How long will it take for the message to reach her?

[griffonix]

Seconds, but whether or not she notices it when it arrives is another matter.

[mjolnir_time]

So until then we wait?

[griffonix]

Yes.

[ well, it doesn't take long before her phone chirps at her, and she glances down to read the message ]

... Damn that girl's wordy.

[ aaaand a quick text back... well, maybe not so quick. This one might arrive in parts. This is her trying to make a point. ]

My dearest Amelia, we are merely worried about you, being as you are keeping company with the God of Mischief. I do not doubt your ability to take care of yourself, but I am truly unsure of his intentions. (It's clear he's taken an interest in you.) Try to enjoy yourself, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything.

In the meantime, Thor and I have retired back to the Griffonix. That is where you will find us.
