Being the only healer in the whole group was the worst.

Mayu's laying face down in a cot at Marta's clinic after spending the day healing five men from the McClyne group. Her powers worked wonders on the cuts and bullet wounds, but dammit it took a toll on her.

She's hoping no one would bother her for the rest of the day.]

[He takes in a deep breath when he felt the entire process go at work, the cool feeling washing over him and removing the intense pain at his back side that he was at his limits of holding back any signs of pain at all. Once the feeling of skin against skin was felt between his back and her hand, he glances over his shoulder to look at her to see if she is done with that part... and to see her own condition.

He isn't that much of an ignorant idiot to not know about what happens when she uses her abilities a lot. Especially with a bunch of people who take it for granted and come here a lot for recovery of various kinds of injury.]

... think you'll be alright?

Mm. I might as well finish everything else off.

[That was the odd thing about this girl. It was obvious she acted excessively negative at times, but when it came to her job as healer, she took it more seriously than most people would think.

It was hard for her to say no to a person in need and once she got going she wouldn't stop despite her limits.]

[And as instructed, he tries to move himself into a better position on the chair for her to work with less issues on his end.]

Where is Marta anyway? It's not like her to leave you by yourself. Something come up?

[And while she works on his other injuries, she answers his question]

She's going shopping to add stuff to our apartment and get supplies from other pharmacies. She's been gone for about an hour actually.

There. Done.

Is that right? She could have told me, I could have done and done that stuff ahead of time for her if she asked me to. I guess I'm still just that unreliable.

[He moves and twists his body for a moment to test out his now newly recovered body and see if any lingering pain had been left. Not really to doubt her abilities, but it's just a natural thing with him to test out anything before going back out to fend for himself again. He gives an approving nod once it's shown and felt that the pain is gone before he lowers his shirt again before placing a hand on top of her head to give a small ruffle.]

You're usually busy. She doesn't want to bother you about things like that.

[She nods and wordlessly... goes back to collapse into the cot.

She really was exhausted, she wasn't letting it show until now though.]

Usually doesn't mean always, but eh. What's done is done anyway.

[He doesn't even budge an inch after she moves away and plops back down on the cot. If anything, that just makes him want to stick around longer until Marta shows back up so he won't leave her alone for long.]

Busy day, huh?

You guys need to learn how to be bullet proof.

But if we do something like that then how else would I be able to see my precious little sister and girlfriend when I get free time?

Besides, it is pretty hard to dodge a bullet no matter what the movies and comics say.

Can we close the clinic for now? I'll come in for an emergency, but I don't want to do anything for the rest of the day.

That only depends if you're able to move at all, really. But hey, I'm not a doctor or a businessman. I don't know how the operations of this place works~

[Curling up as if about to take a nap]

Yeah yeah, have a good rest now.

[Welp. Guess he'll just mark it on the door that the clinic is closed for now until the Doc comes back.

... and Mayu is so lucky her brother isn't like a certain japanese girl that would so mark her face with a marker if given the chance.]

[She naps for about half an hour before stirring and sitting up]

[She looks grumpy-- no wait that's a default --but she does look restless as well.]

[He pauses for a moment in mid-harmonica playing that he was playing in a low key, but he turns on over to glance at her direction once she moves up.]

Feel a little better?

[She holds out her palm examining it]

... Aren't there any other healers besides me? And besides my mother?

Probably, most likely. Being the only one on the planet seems kind of unlikely. And besides, it's not like you or anybody else announces it to the world about what you can do, right? So they are most likely as much as in hiding about that as you are.

[She nods.]

Mother always told me to never say a word about what I could do. And I never did. [But she was found anyways. And she's not really sure whether it's a good or bad thing]

[Oh hey, Mayu. A hand will be plopping down on your head!]

Feeling a little lonely there? Maybe you just need a bit fresh air and a night out on town.

Sure thing. Go get your things together and we'll get going.

I guess I'll tell Jackson to take a break too if it's just the two of us. [He is a very vigilant and loyal bodyguard otherwise and still deciding whether Cale is a siscon or not]

Right, right. I understand. I'll get the car ready and waiting out front. I'll be waiting~ [With that said, he'll make his way out the door. And Cale is only a siscon in Jackson's twisted and perverted dreams. :T He has special eyes, but doesn't need glasses, a knife or has mental issues, okay.]

[He still remembers that headshot okay he's still kinda sore about that Mayu texts Jackson and then changes into her casual clothes and in no time at all she's ready to go out and about.
