I still have trouble reconciling with the past at times. For my sister, it's worse. We both lost so much time to someone who put his goal above all else.

[ He can hazard a guess as to what that entails, and he notes it as something he should digest about his Master at a later date. Right now, they have their objectives, and he shouldn't lead her astray. ]

That part shouldn't be too difficult. It'll be pinpointing the location of this Master and Servant and having to wait until nighttime.

If you'd allow me some independent action, I could scout the area and see where the most likely locations are.

It's not difficult for him to gather intel on what's been happening: in fact, it's the talk of the town, a low buzz of dread that manifests in some parents exercising special caution on their children, forbidding them from wandering outside later than necessary.

The rumors aside, there's a mounting sense of something being amiss, the closer he gets to a certain section of the city. A Bounded Field? There's something distinctly negative about the air the closer he gets to the source of the irregularity, and he confirms his suspicions when he senses that there's far too much prana being concentrated in one place to be natural, or safe.

With that in mind, he makes his way back to the park as the sun sets, waiting for his Master to come back so he can tell her as much. ]

[Ai Thao had been going about the day, looking and acting the part of a visitor from overseas, window shopping, reading books, and going to popular spots where people congregated. She stopped to watch the news anywhere where there was a TV screen. The report only serves to reconfirm their suspicions. These kidnappings were too swift and with too many people at one time. There had to be more than one collaborator.

She's waiting at the park and sitting on a bench with a book on her lap. She's not really reading the pages; rather she's thinking of what she can do when confronted with the inevitable enemy.

Lancer's back; she can sense him.]

Were you able to find anything?

[ Given that there's no one else in the park with them, he finds it prudent to materialize to give the report on what he's seen: he's brief about it, but he doesn't fail to get into necessary details that would clue her in to the exact location where he felt a disturbance. It's too bad that he doesn't know street names, otherwise that might have made it easier.

Once he's done, he steps back and cants his head, as if to wait for an evaluation. ]

Will you be fine with heading out now?

It's still early. [She had listened to his report and was already thinking of the best way to approach the situation.]

There's enough people who would notice the disturbance we'll most likely cause in that area. I know I said I didn't want to make them wait, but it's the price we pay for having these battles late at night.

[ Though he could suggest that he go in by himself and see if he could fight the Servant himself. His Master doesn't seem too big on combat, and it might be easier for him to go do this on his own.

He has a feeling she won't like that, though, so he stays mum on the matter. ]

[She's not entirely sure whether she herself will engage in combat; it would depend on the Master of course.

Brutality isn't within her nature, however. It's probably a good thing, knowing her Mystic Eyes, but Ai Thao knows that this is a war. She told herself that much since yesterday and even told Lancer that she understands the weight of what they are both part of. She needs to own up to it for both her sake and his.]
