Gae...
[ The magic spear that reverses causality. What's important now isn't speed or skill, it's an inevitability, the inevitability being that his spear will hit. ]
...Bolg!
[ So. Sorry Rider— that flash of red that flies past him and directly into that box, splitting it cleanly and destroying whatever is inside (he has a good idea of what) is a result of inexorable circumstances. ]

A shriek rings throughout the building. The fog and mist is washed away by a wind of released prana that is quickly disappearing. The Headless Horseman is without his head and his stolen body cannot sustain him even with the used Spells.
The headless monster from the unassuming legend that originated in a sleepy town has been defeated.
When the box is split, there's an explosion of light that blinds Lien slightly and she has to cover her eyes. Rider begins to fall and as he does his entire being begins to disappear in luminous wisps that fade away making it so he was never there to begin with. There's a rewarding sense of serenity that settles throughout the entire area now that he is gone.
Victory to the Hound of Chulainn and his Master. Lien takes a deep breath of the clear night air in relief.]
... What a hero.

He retrieves Gae Bolg, taps it once, twice against the ground as if to get any residue off of it (there is none), before turning back to Lien with a half-exasperated smile. ]
What, you finally realized?
no subject
You did it! What more would you like me to say?
[At least for her, it's a satisfactory win. This Rider was a tough opponent and it took more than one try to really get an edge on him. It's the feeling of elation that makes it hard for her to choose words. But...]
... You did great, Cu Chulainn. It's your win.
[Lien smiles down at the hero after calling him his true name. There's a gentle, but deep admiration in her eyes that isn't concealed by her veil of inscrutability. It was as if she was allowing her true feelings to be unabashed as possible.]
I'll come down to you, ok? Not much else to do, but call it a night.

And, on a whim, he take a few steps towards Lien's vantage point, directly under her, and holds out his arms. ]
Come on down, then, little lady.
[ Does he need to spell it out? He hopes not. ]

[Lien was going to use the elevator, but she sees him hold out his arms and of course it clicks. Hrm. Should she...?]
... Ah, what the hell.
[She preps herself by taking a deep breath before dropping down. The funny thing is, she didn't feel scared at all. Lien feels she could fall a million times and instead of breaking apart and scattering into pieces, there was a possibility she would be completely fine.]

One arm under her legs and the other up around Lien's shoulders, he bounces his Master once, twice. ]
Nice fall.
[ Preemptively, before she can say "nice catch". ]

I'm getting better at it.

[ He hefts Lien in one arm for the moment it takes to strap his lance to his back— how he manages that is anyone's guess. ]
Where to, miss?

Lien sways her head back and forth as if thinking as she holds onto Lancer, her long hair moving along with her.]
What do you usually do after winning a battle? My treat.

[ He says, with a blitheness that suggests that he's being more honest than teasing, but he knows how well Lien'd take to this suggestion. (Not well.)
Instead of setting Lien down, he starts walking with her in tow, moving out and away from the building into the streets of Shinto proper. ]
Hey, I'll take you somewhere good.
no subject
The former, doable, the latter, not so much.
[Huh. He's still holding her. She doesn't protest, but she blinks and is quiet about it, as if wondering how long he'd keep it up.]
Really? You actually have something in mind?
no subject
[ Mildly exasperated, but in good humor. He trots along the street, stops, and takes a moment to let his clothes switch to civvie gear. It only takes a moment, and he manages it without setting Lien back down. ]
Trust me, it's not bad.

Alright then, I'm in your hands, literally and metaphorically; lead the way.
