[Where are you?

The question pounds through the girl's head as she finds herself in unfamiliar street running past the faces of nameless strangers. At first, she doesn't know why she's looking or who she's looking for. Where was more important. Where can she go? Where will she go next? Where is he?

Ai Thao Kha had never suffered from so much want. And the more she ran, turned corners, crossed streets, and sometimes even went in a circle, the more she remembered. The more she remembered, the more her heart hurt. And the more her heart hurt, the more it spurred her to keep running. To keep looking.

She ends up at a park, out of breath. The esper didn't use any of her cognitive abilities, but she was still physically and mentally spent. A tear falls to the ground and she wipes it away in frustration.]

I just... I just wanted to see you one more time. I don't know what I'm doing here, but I wanted to see him again!

[Her words feel like for naught. She's alone. She can't find him. What is she supposed to do now?]

[Even when he was human, the Administrator was quite a troublemaker. He always did his best to bend the rules to get an ending that he wanted and hoped that everyone else would follow along. He followed his own way of living which was continuously making choices. So one day, Hiro wondered what would happen if he could copy his biodata to sit in place of the Heavenly Throne and decided to walk among humans again.

Saiduq had told him that while the possibility would be slim, but workable. And it would only be a temporary solution. If he had wanted this plan to work out, then Hiro would have to sacrifice something important. Deciding that while his memories at Cerealia were worthy enough, he had decided to become a human again... But in exchange, he'd have to seal away those memories from that world. It wasn't like Hiro wanted to seal those memories off, but... The chances of him seeing those friends he made again were slim.

And in this new world... The human boy known as Hiro Kageyama did not exist. In a sense, this would be similar to how Miyako was standing in place of Yamato in the third world.]

Huh... I remember this park. It's where I first became friends with Daichi.

[His wandering had bought him back to the place where he was picked on by bullies and saved by his best friend. There was a tight nostalgic feeling in his chest until... He noticed a girl standing there. Hiro wasn't sure why, but that feeling in his chest had only tightened. But he's never met her before...

Either way, he couldn't sit back and watch someone cry. So he decides to do an old trick that always gotten under the skin of his friends. He'll be sneaking up behind her and give a big--]

BOO!!!

[WHY THIS]

WAH!!!

[The girl is appropriately startled and whips around, to see who the perpetrator was.]

I-I-I-I...!!

[Wow, that's a lot of stammering. But when she sees who it is, she freezes.]

[The memories flash through her head like a flood. Cerealia, the technological and natural horrors, the laughter and pain with friends, the growth she experienced with so many different people around her and...]

Hiro...

HIRO!!

[Mayday, mayday, tears are welling up in her eyes...!!]

[And without really thinking, Ai Thao throws her arms around Hiro, enclosing him in a tight embrace.]

Hiro, it's you, it's really you! Y-You're really here and... And...!

[Her words come out clumsy muffled due to her crying and burying her face into the boy's shoulder. She didn't care about how crazy she must have seemed due to the overwhelming emotion that had filled her up just from seeing him.]

Huh?! Whoa, um--

[That wasn't what the reaction he was shooting for! Maybe something more like relief or something close to irritation. Just some innocent trolling was what he was shooting for. He didn't mean to make her cry for real. Though whenever she wraps his arms around him...

Well, Hiro loved hugging people and had no issues with getting hugs. But there was only one big issue with all of this...]

[... ... ...

WHO THE HELL WAS SHE?!

That was the biggest thing that was on his mind right now.]

[Well, he didn't want to ruin the moment by saying that he didn't remember her. That would've made things more painful.

For now, he'd just follow through with a gentle lie. Hiro will be placing his arms around her to pull her into a hug. It's... been a while since he felt human warmth, so it did feel nice.]

H~eh... Of course it's me! Who else would I be?

[She wasn't someone who he met in the previous worlds... But regardless, there was a bond there. He gives an easyoing laugh before pulling away.]

C'mon now. You're starting to creep me out with all of that crying. [Placing his hand into his coat, he pulls out a handkerchief.] Long time no see, right? You're looking good.

Y-yeah...

[Ai takes the handkerchief rubbing her eyes and then her nose. She pulls herself from Hiro, taking him in.]

I'm sorry, I really made a scene didn't I?

[Well, he had to admit that she was the overly emotional type. Regardless, he figured that if he could act familiar enough, then he could get through alright.]

[Same ol' joking Hiro. It's him alright. Ai's brows furrow as she tries to think through what happened in the past hour or so.]

I... There's not much I can recall after leaving Cerealia. If anything, I ought to be a bunch of lost data by now right...? Ugh. I'm sorry Hiro, but my memory is fuzzy at this point. If anything, I was assuming I should be in Vietnam instead.

[Cerealia. That name sounded familiar... There's a pause from Hiro as he was taking this information in. To become human again, he had to get rid of something important...

That important thing must've been his memories from there. Though she was an ally, right? He had to wonder if she learned some things about him. It would've been a landmine and a half to explain what he really is...]

W-Well, I wouldn't stress so much over it! I mean, I can't really hook you up on a flight back over there... But you can stick with me for a little while!

[He felt that he should've asked Yamato or Miyako... JPs still had to exist in this world. Though the issue would be that they might have not had remembered him. Worst case, he'd have to bring her to them.]

Thoooough if you're really in a pinch, then I might know some people who can take care of you.

Oh, um... If this world isn't any different from mine, I could at least access my funds from an ATM machine. I wouldn't want to be that much of a burden!

[She holds up her hands to wave them in front of herself as if trying to lessen his worries.]

[She wasn't from this world and didn't seem hostile, so he could safely confirm that she wasn't an enemy. Probably.

If only his Administrative Authority was still working, then he probably send her back to her own world somehow. Shifting his tone a bit, he's back to his usual cheerfulness.]

Wanna get some takoyaki? It's the king of the street!

I'll definitely manage. I'm nothing, but adaptable after all!

[Thank god she's positive. At the mention of takoyaki, her face lights up, but she tries to dissuade the offer instead.]

Maybe I'll figure out lodgings first so that can wait...

[And then her stomach makes a gurgling and empty sound...]

[Who has two thumbs and is laughing at her? THIS GUY.]

[Something felt a bit off, but Ai had been too happy to put a finger on that feeling, too happy just to see Hiro's face again and she follows matching his stride. Her hands are behind her back, shyly looking over at him.]

Well, you know me! I always love a good snack.

[(But he doesn't know her, but she doesn't know that.)]

[As he was walking, Hiro couldn't help and make a silly looking squint at Ai. Almost like he was trying to piece together something. However, anyone who knew him would've figured that he was just being his usual goofy self.]

Um... Since it's been a while, you could remind me what exactly you loved eating!

[She certainly struck her as a sweets and sugar girl. Hiro had certainly been that type himself.]

[That's weird... But Ai doesn't seem to think much of it.]

Oh, I eat anything as long as it's prepared well and it's delicious! You can always trust me when I say something is good.

[He was thankful that she was simple enough to not catch on. That makes him relax a little.]

Gotcha. So anything and everything. [He almost wanted to call Jungo since he had a restaurant... But it would've been more than sad to know that he wouldn't be remembered by him. Walking with this girl gave him some nostalgia.]

Anyway... Glad that you could show up in Tokyo! Things are a lot less banged up than they used to be.
