[What even is this!? Ai wasn't prepared for this kind of attack from Hiro, much less after they've allowed themselves this short time together to be a couple.]

[Surprisingly though, Ai is looking thoughtful as she looks at her hands clasping her hands together before she shyly says...]

But we haven't even kissed for real yet. So... Those others places... Would have to wait...

[There's a pause as there's a faint hint of pink on Hiro's cheeks. His eyes widen in realization whenever she brings that up.]

--Oh yeah! I never thought about that! Lips should come first, shouldn't they?

[Ai nods, a little too quickly.]

A-at the very least, yes.

[It was hard to say if he was joking it not. But hey, Hiro certainly wasn't lacking in self-love.]

[She sighs and brushes his cheek with the back of her hand, lightly a somewhat playful, if subdued gesture.]

I'll take that as a no.

[In contrast, he is much bolder as he wraps an arm around her waist to bring her close again.]

--Theeen I should if you taste better than a mirror. Close your eyes.

[Oh, god why. The moment kind of slams into her like a truck as he wraps an arm around her and she instinctively covers her face before anything else happens. Not because she doesn't want to kiss, but rather she needs to slow down and give herself some room to think. Just a little.

Also, she hates that she can't control her blushing, that's seriously a problem.]

I. Um.

[Ai breathes into her palms before her blue eyes peek through her fingers at Hiro.]

It kind of hurts.

[There's a pause and then she continues, shyly.]

My heart, I mean. It's beating too fast.

You're making it sound like a heart attack. [A beat.] But I think that's pretty normal! My heart's beating pretty quickly too!

[Though it's hard to tell considering he's looking unusually composed with that smile on his face. It's not that he wasn't feeling anything towards any of this. Hiro assumed that his heart was racing since he was about to do something fun. Fighting demons and aliens? Despite the horrors he experienced... It was fun. Making all kinds of new people and making friends with them? That was fun too.

Spending time with Ai and being ready to do something like this? Self-explanatory.

With that said, he's just going to reach out and gently peel off one of the hands on her face. He knows that he can be much bolder than this, but he didn't want to scare Ai away.]

If you don't hurry up, then I'm gonna get bored and leave. My attention span is pretty short, y'know.

[Stop being a weenie, Ai.]

[And then suddenly...

There's one hand pressed against his chest, where his heart is. Ai wants to feel the beating beneath her fingers as she finally, FINALLY, summons up the courage to lean in first, almost too quickly, and press her lips against Hiro's. It's a warm and soft sensation and it was almost hard to grasp and register at first, but it is unmistakably, a kiss.

And then the world stood still.]

[His eyes widen whenever he felt her fingertips against his chest, then they suddenly grow even wider from the warmth against his lips. It was difficult to say what was going through Hiro's head in that moment.

But whenever it finally register what she was doing... He realized that this was the answer that he wanted. It felt like giving her that small push forward worked perfectly. And frankly, it gave him the urge to push himself forward too.

It's about time. He thinks as he tighten the grip around her waist and brings her closer. Hiro wasn't sure how long he was sitting there, but he shuts his eyes and finally returns the kiss on his end.]

[For a second, Ai almost thinks this is just a dream. There's no way that the feeling is this mutual, there's no way her feelings are being reciprocated so sweetly, with the one who made her heart hurt and beat the most.

But it's true. She feels him pull her closer, she feels the warmth spreading from their lips to her shoulders, to her very center, until she finally draws back to breathe, still close to Hiro.

And she doesn't say anything. Her head rests on his shoulder and she's breathing softly as if trying to gather her bearings again.]

[He's always imagined being kissed and doing the kkissing as a passing fancy, but never thought that it'd be happening right now. Considering what he was, Hiro knew that romance was not exactly on the list of priorities... But for this girl, he could make an exception.

For now, he decides to stay quiet within their embrace and wondered what else he could do from here? She did say that it would be okay to kiss her in other places, right? Hiro had to wonder what kind of sounds she'd make if he kissed her--

Wait a minute.]

Um... Is it just me or is it gettin' really cold in here?

Ah!

[Ai looks up and now that he mentions it, there's a lot of cold air and it brushes against the back of her neck, even through her long hair.]

The air conditioner has been running for a while... I-I should get that.

[And so she stands up (giddily), to turn down the dial, but also glances at the clock.]

It's... Getting late too. [She doesn't want to ask, but the question hangs in the air; on whether Hiro would stay over or not.]

[Even with his coat, he could feel the sensation of the coldness in the air. Though whenever she points out that it was getting late, Hiro decides to stand up with a stretch of his arms.]

Yeah, I oughta get going now! [From the sounds of it, he was seriously going to leave... But he wasn't walking towards the door. Instead, Hiro goes to another destination... which was the bed sitting in the corner of the room. Almost like it was his own, he casually flops down on it.]

To bed. This is the closest one here and I don't feel like going anywhere else.

[There's quiet on her end. She's thinking again...]

... Good!

[... But it doesn't take her as long this time. There's some rustling, where Ai kicks off her shoes, and undoes her single braid, straightening out her hair with her fingers before going over to the bed and sitting right next to Hiro.]

If you don't feel like going anywhere, I'll make sure you won't get bored.

[Oh. Oh. That honestly catches him by surprise. It might've been the first time that he's seen Ai look like that. And honestly, he couldn't help and feel his cheeks turn pink from seeing her hair undone.

Well then, there's was only one thing to from here...]

Sweet. You know that I hate being bored.

[And that was take off his bunnyhood coat and toss that aside along with his shoes. Instead of a striped long sleeved shirt, he was wearing a black buttoned shirt underneath.]

But can you keep up with me? I wouldn't wanna make you feel uncomfortable or anything.

[As a demonstration, he'll be placing his hands on her shoulders and gently pushing her down against the bed. It's a bold move, but he wanted to show how serious he was about her.]

[Well.

Ai can't say that things weren't leading up to this. And yet instead of nervousness bubbling up in her stomach, when she is pushed down to her back, the esper gives a small laugh instead. Her cheeks are pink though, for what it counts.]

I think you'd be surprised!

[Hands reach up to cup his face.]

And I've gotten better at adapting after all.

Then I'll put your potential in that arena to the test.

[Feeling her hands against his face, Hiro decides to lean in to kiss her again. They had the whole night to spend with each other and he was sure that he was going to be kissing her many more times before dawn.

Just to make the kiss more heated than the last, he lets out his tongue slither out to lightly rub up against her lips. He wasn't forcing himself in exactly, but more like testing Ai to see how she'd react to that.]

[There's a slight tremble on her end at first, but it's more of anticipation than worry and anxiety (alright, maybe just a little of that last one).

Surely and steadily though, her lips part, accepting him and this new closeness that was brewing between them. She even returns the favor, tasting him with her own tongue. It's still soft, but the sentiment behind it was clear.]

[A soft hum escapes from his throat on his end whenever she returns the favor. He was sure that Ai would've pushed him away if she hasn't grown as much as she had. The fact alone made him much less unsure on how to approach this. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to taste things normally anymore, but it felt like his tastebuds were working properly.

Or his biodata was adjusting to being something close to 'human' again. It was hard for him to say. He'll break the kiss to catch his breath.]

You taste pretty sweet! [A beat.] So I'm free to kiss you in other places, right?

[Her chest moves up and down as she breathes, resting from the kiss. One hand moves back down so that she can brush of her hair aside and she has to laugh a little again, somewhat nervous.]

Only if I get to do the same! It's only fair right?

[Ai is strangely bold in her own way, at least once she's swept up in the moment.]

Yeah, that's true. So I'm gonna indulge myself first.

[With that said, he cracks a devious smile and decides to lean in again and press some soft kisses against her neck. Every so often, Hiro nibbles against her skin with the intent to leave a mark or two there. He wished that he was going to be around to laugh if someone asked Ai where those marks came from.

He does take a break for a quick second...]

Oh yeah. Touching is free game too, right?

Oh!

[As he kisses her neck, she lets out a startled yelp. The nibbling? Not helping.

Thankfully, Ai is still able to think at least and in response to his question, her hands reach up to start unbuttoning Hiro's shirt.]

If you're putting it that way...

[And there goes four buttons. Clearly, nothing can go wrong at this point. It's just Ai Thao, Hiro, an empty apartment all to themselves, absolutely nothing and NO ONE...]
