cʜᴀʟᴅᴇᴀ pʜᴀɴᴛᴀꜱᴍ 3 [OPEN POST]

Premise

Okeanos has been conquered a long while ago and yet there is yet ANOTHER observed irregularity in the middle of the ocean. The waters are eerily calm, the sky is clear with only a few white clouds dotting the sky. There is no land in sight. What is there instead, but a titan of a cruise ship full of luxuries such as fully furnished bedrooms, an indoor waterpark, an equipped gym for exercise and sports, an industrial kitchen with a stocked cabinet of food supplies, a ballroom, a mini-golf course, bowling... And more!

The Servants of Chaldea aren't slackers by any means, but a little more fun can't hurt, right? But maybe this time around, things won't be as straightforward as it seems...

"Chaldea Phantasm" is an open sandbox RP post for players to roleplay in the setting based on the mobile game, Fate Grand Order and the Fate franchise. You can play out scenarios between Master and Servant(s), Servants fighting each other, monsters, material/event grinding, AUs, etc.

This post will have actual prompts that can be used at your leisure! Otherwise, feel free to write up your own scenario.

A) Waku Waku Splash!

A certain child king has brought it upon himself to deck out the indoor swimming pool with his own personal touches so everyone can have an exciting and enjoyable experience. There's a current pool, a wave pool, a HUGE water slide, and even pools for diving and racing. You know what this means! Swimsuits! There are rules in place to keep the peace and one of them is of particular note.

"Troublemakers will be banned from Waku Waku if they are caught misbehaving, disturbing and/or be harassing our female guests. The following guests have been banned:"

Archer (Gilgamesh - Adult)
Archer (David)
Saber (Gawain)
Saber (Fergus mac Róic)
Lancer (Fionn mac Cumhaill)
Lancer (Cu Chulainn)
Lancer (Leonidas)
Berserker (Spartacus)
Caster (Merlin)
Caster (Mozart)
Rider (Blackbeard)

"Thank you and have a nice day. If you have questions for the management and want to protest your ban please talk to Heracles."

Honestly, it really is up to you whether you take this ban list seriously or not...

B) Fate/Grand Blue

This is your more general SOL prompt. Have a walk around the beautiful cruise ship. Enjoy the blue sky! Maybe do some fishing. Raid the fridge or wait until the Kitchen Moms of Chaldea create a fantastic spread for everyone. Reenact that scene from the Titanic (except the boat sinking part). There's a karaoke machine in one of the lounges that might be fun to do!

C) A Study in Ocean Blue

SPECIAL EVENT

A body has been found in the ballroom! The poor deceased man looks as if he was the captain of the ship. There may be several clues littered around the ballroom and into the captain's quarters that may lead to an answer! Or not? Make sure the body doesn't disappear and don't run into ghosts on the bottom floors of the ship if you try to solve this mystery!

(For this prompt, feel free to write the mystery any way you want! Comedy option is that the body disappears, serious option, it was ghosts.)

E) Fatal Battle!?

Something sinister and monstrous this way comes.

The more keen-eyed and alert Servants may have noticed a presence that has marked this oceanic singularity as a threat and it comes in the form of a titanic Water Dragon. The cruise ship trembles as the beast approaches, angry that its territory has been invaded. Hopefully, our more skilled Riders will take the wheel and navigate around it safely, but it's up to you to subdue the dragon and try not to get swallowed whole, there's a whole other level inside and maybe valuable mats and a Grail!?.

Good luck with your Boss Battle!

[Where Sanson is (somewhat) dignified with his cool tone and collected demeanor, Sherlock is just the opposite. The moment he caught a whiff of mystery, all his senses became sharp and alert - just like a bloodhound. He moves with a restless energy in his 100% scandalous bathing suit, striding back and forth across the room's length until, suddenly, he throws himself to the ground and crawls beneath a table.]

Aha!

[It's a triumphant cry. Sherlock sits up, pleased as punch.]

Sanson, come here when you've finished with the body.
painalty: (because one day i'll leave you)

[WOW HOLMES SO SCANDALOUS

Sanson wraps up his examination of the body and makes a few notes before looking up to find his investigative companion. Time to play Watson to Holmes', well, Holmes. He stands up after gently replacing the body where it was and quickly strides over to where Holmes had...crawled under a table.

Well, clues could be anywhere.]

What did you find?
revelare: (i bet no one does tbh)

[Listen, sometimes you just gotta crawl around to find clues. He pokes his head out from beneath the tablecloth. In his hand are a pair of shoes.

Dirty.

Bloody.]

Our culprit was negligent in the clean-up.

[Sometimes, if you want a job done, you have to do it yourself, etc., etc., do the dirty work and so on.

Sanson peers at the shoes in Holmes' hand and carefully runs a finger across the blood and grime on it.]

Hmm, it would seem so. One has to wonder where all this dirt came from. We are on a ship in the middle of the ocean, after all.

It's a delightful conundrum, isn't it? Where would one soil such a fine pair of shoes?

[If Holmes has an answer, he doesn't give it. He merely shoves the shoes at Sanson and hops to his feet.]

Give your report, doctor.

[Tell him about the body!]
painalty: (we want to play this part)

[With the shoes in one hand and his journal in the other, Sanson gives his report clearly and concisely. It's kinda weird, doing so in a coat, shirt and shorts, and while clutching some of the evidence.

But this was no ordinary murder case.]

The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head; that much we already know. The captain has been dead for not more than thirty minutes, and bears no other wounds on his body except the bruises from where he fell to the floor after being hit.

However, [He flicks his pen toward the body.] I did notice that there was something not quite right with the angle of his right ankle. It's likely he sprained or twisted it shortly before he was killed, but otherwise there seem to be no signs of a struggle.

[When Heroic Spirits are involved, no situation can be truly labeled "ordinary." Holmes, who had whipped out his pipe while Sanson spoke, fidgets with a pinch of tobacco. He doesn't face the executioner but the faraway look in his eyes indicates that he's listening. He deftly stuffs the tobacco in, then lights the pipe. Blue smoke fills the air around him.]

The trail is ripe. [He says so with great relish, as if tasting an exquisite dish.] A pair of dirt-caked shoes, a man who was killed without a struggle, a quick yet inexperienced murderer. Yes, this has all the makings of a good hunt!

[Holmes claps his hands together.]

Tell me now, doctor. Was this man a magus?
painalty: (your weary widow marches)

[personal profile] painalty 2018-03-10 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
[He glances up briefly at the smoke coming from Holmes' pipe. Sanson has a lot to say about smoking, but right now, the dead body was more important.

Where can he put down these dirty shoes, it was hard enough gesturing with his pen while holding his notes in the same hand...nah, he still doesn't put them down, and nods in response to Holmes' question.]

Yes, albeit of a low caliber. I found no signs that he used magecraft.

[If Sanson chose to comment on it, Sherlock would've given some flippant comment about them being Heroic Spirits. They were "dead" already, weren't they?

In any case, he nods at this new bit of information.]

He had no reason to attempt it.

[Oho??]

Let us examine the hallway, good Sanson! The trail is still hot!
painalty: (the beaten and the damned)

[You don't say, Mr. Holmes.]

Hmm, I suppose magecraft would draw atten -

[The game is afoot, and Sanson is more than willing to go and investigate further, but...]

Monsieur Holmes, where, pray tell, should I leave these shoes if we'll be examining the hallway?
