Premise Okeanos has been conquered a long while ago and yet there is yet ANOTHER observed irregularity in the middle of the ocean. The waters are eerily calm, the sky is clear with only a few white clouds dotting the sky. There is no land in sight. What is there instead, but a titan of a cruise ship full of luxuries such as fully furnished bedrooms, an indoor waterpark, an equipped gym for exercise and sports, an industrial kitchen with a stocked cabinet of food supplies, a ballroom, a mini-golf course, bowling... And more! The Servants of Chaldea aren't slackers by any means, but a little more fun can't hurt, right? But maybe this time around, things won't be as straightforward as it seems... "Chaldea Phantasm" is an open sandbox RP post for players to roleplay in the setting based on the mobile game, Fate Grand Order and the Fate franchise. You can play out scenarios between Master and Servant(s), Servants fighting each other, monsters, material/event grinding, AUs, etc. This post will have actual prompts that can be used at your leisure! Otherwise, feel free to write up your own scenario. A) Waku Waku Splash! A certain child king has brought it upon himself to deck out the indoor swimming pool with his own personal touches so everyone can have an exciting and enjoyable experience. There's a current pool, a wave pool, a HUGE water slide, and even pools for diving and racing. You know what this means! Swimsuits! There are rules in place to keep the peace and one of them is of particular note. "Troublemakers will be banned from Waku Waku if they are caught misbehaving, disturbing and/or be harassing our female guests. B) Fate/Grand Blue This is your more general SOL prompt. Have a walk around the beautiful cruise ship. Enjoy the blue sky! Maybe do some fishing. Raid the fridge or wait until the Kitchen Moms of Chaldea create a fantastic spread for everyone. Reenact that scene from the Titanic (except the boat sinking part). There's a karaoke machine in one of the lounges that might be fun to do! C) A Study in Ocean Blue SPECIAL EVENT A body has been found in the ballroom! The poor deceased man looks as if he was the captain of the ship. There may be several clues littered around the ballroom and into the captain's quarters that may lead to an answer! Or not? Make sure the body doesn't disappear and don't run into ghosts on the bottom floors of the ship if you try to solve this mystery! (For this prompt, feel free to write the mystery any way you want! Comedy option is that the body disappears, serious option, it was ghosts.) E) Fatal Battle!? Something sinister and monstrous this way comes. The more keen-eyed and alert Servants may have noticed a presence that has marked this oceanic singularity as a threat and it comes in the form of a titanic Water Dragon. The cruise ship trembles as the beast approaches, angry that its territory has been invaded. Hopefully, our more skilled Riders will take the wheel and navigate around it safely, but it's up to you to subdue the dragon and try not to get swallowed whole, there's a whole other level inside and maybe valuable mats and a Grail!?. [ considering Ritsuka's always on a lookout for best arm pillows, it's definitely a compliment ]

I know, everyone tells me that... But I just get really sleepy sometimes. Mash calls it my special skill to be able to sleep anywhere. [ by now a lot of the old-time Chaldea Servants have gotten used to it ]

If you see me again, you can just wake me up there. I won't mind it.

[ Wake him up, or carry him to a bed. He'll note this for potential use later.

Foreigner hums, a low, soft sound much like a foghorn. It resonates not with a person's ears, but with their body - a tremor against Ritsuka's ribs. Yet, it isn't uncomfortable, merely... unnearthly. ]

... what will you do now?

[ Ritsuka naturally notices the sound, but he doesn't comment much on it. it's not common, but it wasn't like it was bad. he does, however, hesitate a moment at the question. he turns his head to look towards the other ]

If you don't mind I'd like to sit here with you. Maybe talk? [ he hadn't spent much time with the Foreigner yet, and this seemed like a nice, relaxing opportunity to ]

[abgrund]

[ There's a pause before he tilts his head, his hair mirroring the movement in a waterfall of grey and green. He offers the Master a single slow blink while he tries to conceptualize what he should reply with. ]

If you wish...?

[ Talk about what? He can't possibly be interesting, considering that he comes from another realm of comprehension. ]

[lastmaster]

Yay. [ he gives Ain a smile, before shifting around a little to be more comfortably seated on the sofa ]

Are you enjoying the cruise so far?

[abgrund]

[ There's a certain manner to Ritsuka's words that strike an echo in his memory, and for a moment he sees another young man in the Master's place. A youth with a shock of bright red hair, the emotion unrestrained in his voice —

— the image fades, splintering into fragments between his metaphorical fingers. ]

... ?

[ He should probably have said 'I'm not sure', but he can't seem to string the words in the correct order just yet. There is a lot that he has experienced here, the burning sun, seeing water and the salt of the sea - but it all felt oddly distant. A slight crease crosses his eyebrow, nothing more. ]

I suppose so?

[ while Ritsuka has always been good at talking with people, he's definitely honed that skill even more after coming to Chaldea. he's come in contact with so many types of personalities, some not even able to speak the human language.

what might be considered a slightly awkward conversations overall didn't bother him at all. instead he carried on, figuring out how best to bond with his Servant a little more ]

What parts do you like the most? I really enjoyed the pool with currents in them! It was really fun feeling like you were floating down a river. Oh, and the fishing pond surprised me too!

[ He can put images to those names, definitely; perhaps the Master was prompting him to speak about those things. With a guide, he can gather his thoughts a bit better.

I have never experienced any of this, before. So I wasn't sure of how they should be.

[ What is a water park to a void abomination? ]

The sun was a little bright...

[ His tone is flat, though. It wasn't something that made him unhappy; merely an inconvenience. ]

Oh yeah! I didn't think when the sun gets reflected on water, it would be so bright and strong! I saw a lot of the female Servants making sure to put sunscreen on. [ Ritsuka also was told by mama Emiya to make sure to put it on as well when spending outside on the deck ]

You have such light skin color, Ain. You should put it on as well. [ he pauses ] Is it fine if I call you that?

[abgrund]

[ There it is again, a soft flutter of a reminder. Yet, it eludes him in the end. ]

... yes, it's fine.

[ Most people call him by his title. Maybe Master is the only one who knows his True Name. ]

Would it help me?

[ He holds a hand up to his face, examining it. His skin is an acrylic black, darkly reflective in the lounge light. Clearly he has forgotten about his face... ]

[ well, he wouldn't mind calling by title, but there's Abby and Hokusai as well... ]

Hmm? I don't think it would be harmful? It's supposed to protect you after all... [ but do Servants actually get sun burnt? he's not too sure. but if the other Servants were doing it, there's a point to it... right? ]

[abgrund]

[ Technically, he is Foreigner of Elrianode, much like the other EOR Servants. But really, his name is the simplest way to address him. ]

I'm not a human...?

[ Can tentacle monsters get sunburned? Probably not. ]

[lastmaster]

[ "Elrianode" and "Ainchase"... Ritsuka would definitely trip up on those names. it was better to keep it short and easier to say ]

But you still have skin... So, I think it'll work? [ besides 90% of Chaldea are non-humans ] Unless you wanted to go for a tan.

[abgrund]

[ He has to contemplate the possibility of tanning. It's technically possible to emulate one, but. ]

I see. [ Spending time with the Master lets him learn interesting things. ] I will keep that in mind, then....

[ Though, he supposes he should also ask something in return. ]

Do you like sun?

[lastmaster]

[ emulate... no that's not the point of tans..!!

Ain's question makes Ritsuka a little happier. the conversation was continuing and it wasn't like Ritsuka was doing the constant talking! ]

Hmm, I used to not be too particular about the sun, but now I really enjoy being able to see the sun with the blue sky. [ especially a clear blue sky with no rainbow rings in it ]

[abgrund]

[ What exactly is the point of having a tan, anyway... vanity, perhaps; but that's no longer something in his purvey. ]

Why so?

[ Does it mean something to Master? ]

Well, back when we were still traveling the Singularities made by the Grand Caster, wherever we went, there was a huge ring of light in the sky. It would always remind us that humanity was still on the verge of extinction.

And Chaldea's so high up in the mountains where there's always a blizzard. I've only been able to see the sky from there once. [ it's still a somewhat overwhelming memory for him, mixed with happiness and accomplishment but also of sadness and regret for a certain Doctor ] Seeing just the blue sky with only clouds and the sun in it... it's a relief.

[abgrund]

[ He's heard of this tale from the other Servants before, so it is not a surprise to him. It makes sense, though - the desire to not die before one's destined time. He does not bring up his usual sermon of the end, for there is a special type of struggle that he will respect - one like this one. ]

I'm glad... it brings you happiness.

[ For even at the bottom of the void, there are stars. ]

Mmhm! And I hope you will too, Ain! Maybe you'll find out that you'll enjoy something here on this cruise. [ he enjoys it when Servants are able to discover something at Chaldea that is enjoyable. such as St. George's and his camera or Passionlip and Tamamo Cat cooking together ]

[abgrund]

[ He's quiet for a few moments, letting Ritsuka's words sift through the air before posing a question of his own, a lingering curiosity. ]

Why are you not afraid of me?

[lastmaster]

...? Why would I be? [ he tilts his head in genuine question ] You were kind enough to answer my call by lending a hand in helping Chaldea and you haven't tried to kill me or anything. Plus... you're kind enough to let me sleep on you.

[abgrund]

[ Master is a strange human. But then again, humans are accepting. Heroic Spirits less so. ]

I am a vessel for Death itself. [ A fallen angel, a reaper, his very aura corrupts the air around him if left unrestrained. ] Do you not fear death?

[lastmaster]

I do. Death is still scary to me, and I'd rather not see the people here die anytime soon. [ heroic spirits and all ] But that doesn't make you scary. [ considering what kind of residents Chaldea has like King Hassan or Kiara, being a vessel for Death wasn't too terrifying to Ritsuka ]

Even if you're a vessel for Death, that's not the only thing you are. You're Ainchase, an individual. And I like spending time with you.

[abgrund]

[ It's true, though. King Hassan doesn't avoid him, along with a few of the other Hassans. The Void made him similar, a being that embodied death instead of using it. ]

I see...

[ It's been far too long since someone has said something like this to him. ]

[ Ritsuka reaches across to lightly touch Ain's hand ]

I bet a lot of other people at Chaldea would like to get to know you better too. Including me. [ he holds Ain's hand ] Why don't we go to the cafeteria together later on?
