cʜᴀʟᴅᴇᴀ pʜᴀɴᴛᴀꜱᴍ 4 [OPEN POST]
![]() There is a lull to be sure even in Chaldea where work is continually being done in order to restore human history. But the work is important, as it is dangerous and even the Servants and their Master need to recover from the various types of combat situations they find themselves in. So sure, lull it is, but it's honestly never a dull day in Chaldea. With Servants like these? Impossible. "Chaldea Phantasm" is an open sandbox RP post for players to roleplay in the setting based on the mobile game, Fate Grand Order and the Fate franchise. You can play out scenarios between Master and Servant(s), Servants fighting each other, monsters, material/event grinding, AUs, etc. This post will have actual prompts that can be used at your leisure! Otherwise, feel free to write up your own scenario within the presented setting. A) Oh Nooooooo Nurse! You just came back from gathering materials or a particularly nasty battle (curse those wyverns)! The infirmary is there for Servants and Master to rest in although they better hope that a certain vigilant nurse isn't there to meet them. Trying to heal those cuts and burns are the least of your worries when amputation is the cure. Better hope some of the other Servants with healing skills are there instead! In the meanwhile, the infirmary is stocked with all the basic first aid, medicine, and even vitamin gummies. Yum! B) FOUVASION...! How's our furry friend been doing? How adorable, Fou's been running in the hallway. And seen in the kitchen. And then the training room. And then behind that plant. And under the bed. And then on the ceiling. And then a giant Fou-kun in the hall... Uh oh. Maybe one of the Casters have gone hog wild in cloning our best runner. Chaldea is filling up to the brim with Fou!! What do you do!? C) Wildcard What it says on the tin. ➢ In the subject line or in your opening thread, please say if you're opting in or out for spoilers! ➢ If you have a fanmade Servant, please try to link to information or have a quick summary of your character! Likewise with cross-canon characters with a Fate/AU. ➢ Be kind and courteous to one another about spoilers, please! ➢ If stuff gets mildly NSFW or something just mark your threads and we'll be good to go! ➢ It's another lighthearted day in Chaldea... |

I didn't. Even before the war I relied on trying to improve patient care in my clinic. I was a nurse, never a doctor. [Now, it was thanks to the Throne that she knew as much about modern medicine as she does now.] I had no more skills at healing than any other nurse. That wasn't my purpose.
[That...surprises her, actually. In a good way.]

[Caster is levitating off of the floor again, in lieu of just standing normally. It's rare for her to walk as she opts to be in the air most of the time. She's crossing her arms and contemplating Berserker's reply.]
Humans are amazing... I rarely visited the mortal plane after a while. But being summoned here and meeting all the other Servants, makes me realize I could have been able to meet any of you at any time during your prime.
no subject
Humans are indeed, amazing.]
Yes. That's why I spent my life for my cause up until old age took me. [The woman who stood with the lamp was different than the one who died in her sleep at the age of ninety, yet, well.] We're here now. For good or for ill we're all in an army together.

[It's a sincere compliment, not an airheaded observation or jab which is kind of the norm for Caster. She carefully unrolls the bandage this time and gestures at Nightingale while continuing her train of thought.]
I've had a lot of time to think about it so I am positive I love humanity, but I wonder if it's a different way from yours?
no subject
Some days I wonder. I'm simply a nurse, trying to make sure my patients recover.
[Care and love... There were many that called her an angel, some still do. It wasn't a thought she liked.]
Individual people are different than humanity as a whole.
no subject
Mm, it is as you say. Everyone who has been summoned here shines so brightly. But I think the one who summoned us is the brightest of them all.

[A true commander for a rambunctious army.]

[She giggles at the thought while she successfully makes a properly wrapped arm.]
But in all seriousness, if it's to my understanding, without the Chaldea facilities they would not last in supporting us all. That's a dire a thought.

[She watches carefully for a moment then her gaze darkens.]
No, you're right. No human could support so many Servants.

[She trails off as she finishes off the bandage and letting her hands drop to her knees.]
I can only speak for myself on this matter; I wish for our Master's happiness and health. When we return to the Throne, I wonder what I can leave behind.
no subject
We all have different desires. We are their army. If we must all leave them at some point-- [What then? She shakes her head.]--then our duties will be done at that point.
no subject
[She muses to herself, letting Nightingale test out her work.]
It's been a hindrance more than an asset in my existence.
no subject
No. You're not.
[Nightingale knows that she's not exactly the best for expressing these sorts of things. Her sort of care was expressed better through actions after all. She pauses for a while, trying to figure out a way to express it without the madness twisting it into something unrelated.]
Do you know what the hardest part of being a nurse is?
no subject
[Giang blinks at Nightingale's reply, surprised that she would negate Caster's assessment of herself. It was reassuring and confusing at the same time.]
And go on... I'd imagine there's plenty of challenges you must endure or overcome, but I'd like to know what you want to say.
no subject
[No. Sentimentality wasn't a weakness. Nightingale couldn't show such anymore but that itself was a failure on her part, not a strength.]
So I push it aside and move on. I needed to do it in my life otherwise no one else would have pushed ahead. That conviction is the madness that makes me a Berserker. I don't regret doing so but it's not something others should do. I can't blame you for your sentimentality and it's not something you should blame yourself for, either.

The fairy wonders if she understands failure in its entirety or even from a human standpoint. Did she fear it? No, she's rather fearless, or rather cannot fear what she doesn't understand. She's aware that there are failings within her and that there is self-doubt, but she wishes in a way there was more improvement, that there was progress. Could a phantasmal species achieve such a height?
It's strange having a Berserker comfort her.]
... I'll keep working hard then.
[She'll push ahead. She'll heal her comrades and protect them within the vision and safety of her Noble Phantasm.]
no subject
That's all we can do for the moment. Just don't let it consume you.
[Don't be like her.]
