You are in the town of Blackgale, specifically within the town's pride and joy, The Blackgale Rose Garden. Tonight the garden is basking in the soft glow from the full moon and stars, making the hundreds of white roses look especially luminescent.

This garden, however, is far from an ordinary garden.

That's sort of hard to miss when little bright pearls of starlight start falling from the sky like snow and disappearing once they hit the grass and flowers. Fancy a romantic date? A casual nighttime stroll? It's all up to you. Doesn't matter who you are or where you're from.

Oh yeah, and someone has magically set up a music player somewhere playing this song.

The one I lost taught me to be someone who can be a light even after he was gone. [The music begins to start again, dreamy, aged, and light hearted despite the mood.]

I'm still sad, but I there will come a point where I become tired of it.

[spellbent]

Good for you. [ That might not have been entirely sarcastic ]

[ He glances at his watch ] Hm. I wonder if my guest has burned my house down yet.

Careful now, my sentimentality might taint you. [That was entirely sarcastic.]

Doesn't hurt to check now does it?

[ He raises a hand and sketches a rune, a line of black following his fingers, as if he was scorching the air itself. His motions are quick and practiced, but it's obvious that this is a complex working, because it takes him a moment to complete it.

Once done, the fabric of reality practically rips open in front of them, and flames start licking through the opening. He waves his hand through the rune, erasing it, and the tear and the fire vanish. ] Looks like she has.

[Man, she just doesn't have a good gut feeling about this magic, but she watches for INTELLECTUAL purposes.]

... Impressive. Complex no doubt.

It's one of the more complex runes I know.

[ He smirks a little. It's not a very pleasant smirk ] I figured you would side with her.

Women tend to do that. You have to commend her for putting up a fight though
