[It was another night in the town of Blackgale, with no moon in sight to set the dark sky aglow amid the blanket of stars. The lack of moonlight, however, was not stopping the local (and only) witch, Amelia Steinbeck, from doing a much needed patrol for this particular night. After all, when a demon from the darkest realm from who knows where comes to ones doorstep with the intention of murder, there's probably others lurking around.

That wasn't going to do, not at all.


Of course, she had to be at school soon for an early morning meeting... But hey, it's high school and she was always on time no matter what, thanks to magic. And thus, Amelia began to wander around in the streets, with a green flame flickering in one hand-- only visible to her, other magic users, and a magnet for more demons.

Miss Amelia always fixes the furniture anyways...!

Dusky, promise Mr. West you won't touch his furniture. I'll bring you toys alright? [Dusky twitches her nose]

Alright, alright. I promise I won't tear any furniture and I'm not goin' to claw at curtains either. See? See? I'm good!

Then that's all we need to agree on.

[spellbent]

[ Dusky gets a long, appraising look. ]

All right. She can come.

[She mews with excitement, but Amelia holds her up to her face to give her a stern warning]

But while we're there, you are not allowed to talk when we're outside, just like how you learned to do that here. Understood? [Dusky nods]

Understood Miss Amelia! I'll be real quiet! I'll be so quiet that I'll be like a real cat! Watch!

[She shuts up. And then mews. Amelia sighs and sets her down on the floor]

You ARE a cat. Go rest up, there's a bed for you in the kitchen. [And Dusky tries to contain her giddiness as she stalks off into said kitchen]
