[Amelia should have learned how to use her cell phone properly at some point. She meant to send her message inviting people for a drink to a few select people in town-- Libby her bartender, Emily Maxwell, a previous student of hers, hell maybe even Micheal and Adam.

Somehow this hasn't happened.]



[Amelia had to shoo away the talking cats, clear the living room of the books and practically redecorate the interior of the house-- it was no longer the cozy vintage home she had been living in for decades, but rather a fancy contemporary and industrial looking household.

A household now filled with various party goers called up by a certain billionaire playboy who is a terrible person. The nice thing about being in a witch's house is that the food and drink are plentiful and that the magic that's literally around in the house seems to keep people in high spirits. Some people are also complimenting the now well-dressed Amelia how charming and post-modern the wind chimes decorating her ceiling were. Funny how they aren't making any sounds despite the crowd.

As for the witch, she's walking around and doing her best to be pleasant despite her dislike of huge crowds and keeping an eye on the hallway. People could get lost in there unfortunately.

This is going to be a long Friday.]

I would not miss it for the world. Of course, I did not expect such a vast array of mortals to show -

For Amelia's sake, we should not make it too interesting.

Come now, what is a party without a little excitement? This notion applied itself on Asgard, I do not see why it cannot on Midgard as well.

[In other words, no promises on that front.]

I'm afraid your type of excitement might be a little too much for the mortals, brother.

[That's a warning, not that he expects it to do any good.]

But my enthusiasm would not be directed at any of them! Why, I would save that all for you, dearest brother.

[There is something unnerving about the smile he flashes Thor, before he draws closer - it seems to make the tension just escalate further.]

Do not look so stern. You used to enjoy unwarranted excitement.

[Thor is too used to those smiles to be unnerved. He stands his ground and smiles back.]

I never said I did not, but there is a proper time and a place for your games, brother. This is not one of them.

If you wish to direct your enthusiasm towards me alone, I would be pleased to accommodate you at another time.

[That's cool, bro. I could fake!smile at you all evening.]

We will see about that, Thor. Though I will take you up on that last offer.

[Another quirk of his lips before he continues.] I can't imagine why you brought drink from Asgard to a mortal party.

I brought it as a gift for Amelia.

[And then the lightbulb goes on.]

... Loki, what have you done?

I have done nothing. [He lies through his teeth with a fluidity only possessed by the Liesmith.] It was a passing curiosity of mine, since the gesture itself seemed out of place.

You are always so quick to place blame upon me.

[mjolnir_time]

And you are always so quick to cause trouble.

Why is it out of place to bring such a gift for our fair hostess? She is no normal mortal.

[allfatherissues]

Well, I need live up to my title of the mischief maker, after all.

[He merely chuckles at that.] You tempt her with something she cannot drink. [Well, she could...] It will be nothing more than a collected relic, sitting unused.

She has her magic. I don't think I would affect her the same way it would any other mortal.

And the point of a gift is in the giving, not in what the recipient does with the gift.

A large assumption on your part - you do not know for sure. [Loki does enjoy sewing seeds of doubt.]

A gift unused is a gift wasted. One can only hope that it will one day find its use.

[mjolnir_time]

[You're getting a very suspicious look, Loki.]

Then perhaps I should suggest she and I drink it together, so I can be certain she comes to no harm.

You may do as you please. Of course- [Loki gestures out to the crowd] -I would be surprised should you find the time to, given how busy of a hostess she must be tonight.

[Loki has a point. Thor frowns at the crowd.]

I will mention it to her when I next see her. Perhaps I can come back another time for her to sample the mead.

[allfatherissues]

Of course.

[A mischievous flicker in his eyes, but then it's gone.]

Well, do not let me stop you from enjoying the party, Thor. I do not wish to keep you.

[mjolnir_time]

[He knows you're up to something. Then again, when aren't you up to something?]

Very well. I'm sure I will see you again later, brother.

[And he starts looking around for Amelia.]

[You'll find out exactly what he's up to soon enough, he's certain of it. As soon as all these mortals begin stumbling around in a drunken stupor.]

[He just watches Thor leave before turning to lose himself in the crowd, as well.]

[Eventually it's discovered that the mead is missing, and that most of the party is more intoxicated than can be blamed on Tony Stark's liquor.

Thor goes looking for Loki. He is not pleased.]

[allfatherissues]

[Loki simply leans against a wall, watching the chaos ensue with a bemused look. Of course, in the crowd, he spots Thor making his way over, looking none too pleased.]

Something the matter, brother?

[mjolnir_time]

[He's so not in the mood to put up with your shit, Loki.

Thor walks up to him and grabs him by the shoulder, slamming him back against the wall and holding him there.

He leans in, and his voice is very low and very angry.]

I warned you not to cause trouble here, did I not?

[allfatherissues]

[Oh, okay. Shit's getting real now.

Loki grunts when his back makes hard contact with the wall behind him and his brow furrows at his brother for a moment.



And then his lips curl into a smile.]

Cause trouble? I've merely made the evening a thousand times more interesting than it would have been. Are you not one to appreciate a good party, my brother?

[mjolnir_time]

This is no harmless prank, Loki. You knew very well how dangerous this could be, and you have brought shame to our hostess who was responsible for these people.

[allfatherissues]

[He scoffs at that.] Shame? The only ones who shall feel shame tonight are the mortals here that filtered into her home, much like scurrying ants. Look at them stumble about; is it not pathetic?
