CONTINUED FROM TFLN MEMEBELLS ⇒ T.G.I.F.

[Amelia should have learned how to use her cell phone properly at some point. She meant to send her message inviting people for a drink to a few select people in town-- Libby her bartender, Emily Maxwell, a previous student of hers, hell maybe even Micheal and Adam.

Somehow this hasn't happened.]



[Amelia had to shoo away the talking cats, clear the living room of the books and practically redecorate the interior of the house-- it was no longer the cozy vintage home she had been living in for decades, but rather a fancy contemporary and industrial looking household.

A household now filled with various party goers called up by a certain billionaire playboy who is a terrible person. The nice thing about being in a witch's house is that the food and drink are plentiful and that the magic that's literally around in the house seems to keep people in high spirits. Some people are also complimenting the now well-dressed Amelia how charming and post-modern the wind chimes decorating her ceiling were. Funny how they aren't making any sounds despite the crowd.

As for the witch, she's walking around and doing her best to be pleasant despite her dislike of huge crowds and keeping an eye on the hallway. People could get lost in there unfortunately.

This is going to be a long Friday.]

[ You really should have suspected this when he showed up in a suit, Amelia. For now he's strutting about, shaking hands, signing autographs... you know. Professional business.

Passing by Amelia's route he claps her lightly on the shoulder, clearly having more fun than he probably should be. ]

[She's just finished talking to a few ladies and when she turns around, there's a pleasant but kind of scary smile on her face.]

Loki is giving this person a pointed frown, and his tone is patronizing.]

You're overdressed, Thor. Always trying to be the center of attention - that much hasn't changed, has it.

[BECAUSE AMELIA LIKES ME. Also she gave him a change of clothing. ]

... Loki. I suppose I should not be surprised to see you here.

[He looks wary, like he's not sure what Loki is going to do next.]

[Loki vaguely wondered to himself who all these mortals were and why they were suddenly filtering in by the dozens - not that it particularly bothered him, but Amelia did not seem the type for loud, boisterous, and certainly... overambitious parties. He had a distinct feeling that this was perhaps someone else's doing. (And how right he would be.)

Nonetheless, he strides over to Amelia, expertly dodging and weaving through the crowd to get to her.]

Aren't you the popular one? This gathering rivals those seen in the palace of Asgard.

[An exaggeration to be sure, but it gets the point across.]

[She turns to him with a shrug brushing a strand of her hair away from her face.]

Aren't I fortunate then? This pretty much happened without my permission so I had to rush things a bit.

[Although regardless, everything looks good for a rush job.]

And for once I was not the cause of such excess trouble-! [He makes a motion with his hands as if to say "Well, imagine that."]

Nonetheless, you're looking rather radiant tonight. Smile, Amelia, I believe the point is for you to enjoy yourself.

Rivals?

[ A certain playboy billionaire overheard that remark, and is now throwing an arm over the god's shoulder as if he'd known the man for years, even if this IS their first conversation. ]

Buddy, nobody rivals a party catered by yours truly. What do they have that I don't have?

[ He uses his free arm to motion to the festivities. ]

Name it. I'll have fifty of whatever it is flown in within the hour.

Asgard?

[ he sort of blurts it out, when he didn't really mean to. He just overheard it and... well, on the one hand he wouldn't be surprised to see Amelia hanging out with Norse deities. ]

[ Madigan's a little late, since she had to turn around in mid-cross-dimensional journey and change her clothes. She knocks on the door, a bottle of wine in hand.

Her eyebrows go up when she catches a glimpse of the inside of the house ]

Damn, Amelia. How many people did you send that text to?

[Amelia's RELIEVED to see Madigan and ushers her inside]

Less than this, but it took only one person to exponentially increase that number.

They're mostly normal people, but at least they don't find anything too strange about the house since I covered up everything pretty well. Sorry you had to come in on such a crowd, I wanted a quiet evening.

... And I have papers to grade. [SIGH]

[ Warren just sort of filtered in with the crowd, since Amelia told him to keep a low profile. Who the hell invited all these people?

God, he hates parties.

He'll just be... in this corner for now. Trying to catch sight of the one person he actually came here to see. ]

[Well, it's hard NOT to spot the bright red hair even if it's done up more neatly than usual. Amelia is able to spot Warren and looks a bit apologetic for these shenanigans]

I think I'll put this on my list of 'what happened instead of what I expected.' Unsurprisingly, it's getting lengthier.

[Loki is something of a people-watcher by nature - as of such, this particular party is perfect for exercising this talent of his.

It's only natural that the one person being the most anti-social is the one that draws his attention the most. The attentions of Loki are not always the good kind, although as of now they're rather neutral in their intent.

That intent being to walk over and talk to this man who obviously... doesn't want to talk to others. Okay mostly neutral.]
