More Crossover Continuity ⇒ Double Date, Double Trouble

[After a wild weekend in the town of Blackgale, specifically at Amelia's house, the witch spent most of her time smoothing things over with the questioning locals, grading all of her student's neglected essays, and trying to apologize to the talking cat commune for not warning them about the huge human gathering. It's tough being the only witch in town sometimes. She needed to relax. What does she plan?

Why, another trip to Las Vegas, Nevada of course! Well, it wasn't so much to enjoy the tempting offers of Sin City, but to visit the person Amelia was now comfortable calling a friend, the owner of the... interesting club, Griffonx. Madigan of course!

A quick magic teleportation and search for the hidden club later, Amelia opens up the door to the establishment, dressed casually.

It should be a normal day with nothing unexpected happening whatsoever...]

Good. We can't have you jumping headfirst into the fountain.

[ A quick grin, but then she stares hard at the siren. Back off, lady :| ]

[Loki tilts his head with both interest and amusement, not looking particularly bothered by the siren. Be assured that if Thor can practice resistance, so can Loki. And he knows it.

Thus... his greeting to it.] Well. Hello, there.

[recluserose]

[At Madigan, the siren gives a haughty look and deliberately moves closer to Thor to inspect him, but draws back slowly. At Loki she giggles and directs a few musical hums at Amelia]

Well, yes of course YOU'D be able to tell. You both share odd senses of humor.

In any case, they're not new 'playthings.' Your songs aren't strong enough for these two.

[Thor smiles slightly and inclines his head briefly to the lady in the water.

He isn't concerned about the magic of these sirens, but if Amelia comment means she's comparing their sense of humor to Loki's, that might be something to worry about.]

[griffonix]

[ Madigan sighs a little, gaze flicking between Amelia and her conversational partner ]

Don't you just hate it when you can't speak the language?

[Loki merely chuckles and casts Amelia a short glance]

'Of course you'd be able to tell' what, exactly?

Nothing. [To Madigan]

Oh, she and the others can speak it perfectly well. They wouldn't be able to follow along with the songs they play here if they couldn't. They're just really stubborn.

[There's something akin to a grin in the siren's eyes.]

Anyways, I've been told you've been messing with the normal people lately. Don't you have any sense of self-preservation? And why Vegas of all places... [The siren sounds annoyed in its reply... and it actually answers in real words.]

Taking care of someone else's mess-- [Of course this prompts an eyebrow quirk from Amelia]

[He's been following Amelia's conversation with interest, but this sounds ominous.]

What does she mean?

[griffonix]

Yeah, some answers would be nice right about now.

[allfatherissues]

It sounds to me as if there is a bit of trouble to be attended to.

[Stop sounding so eager, Loki.]

Ah. [Giving a critical eye at the siren.] Well, where's the body?

[There is a long pause, but the siren merely giggles and drops back into the water with a splash, returning to its sisters who start singing a merry song]

... Hm. This is probably more complicated than I thought. Madigan, it's a good thing your club's so well protected.

And no, we're not getting into anymore trouble.

[mjolnir_time]

Always so eager for trouble, brother. [Thor is not amused, Loki.]

What can we do to help, Amelia?

[griffonix]

Somebody fill me in here, because I'm lost. Just what does my club need protecting from?

[allfatherissues]

You seem to forget to whom you're speaking to, Thor.

[To Amelia] I believe these sirens of yours give the opposite impression.

[recluserose]

Well, to keep it short, on my side of Vegas there are several hidden creatures that live out here like the sirens and a few groups of succubi and incubi with a splash or two of vampires. How they stay this long without being completely found out is amazing, but it could do in part with all of them being controlled by the werewolf who runs a small, but tight mob around here.

I never met him personally. He has to behave himself as long as there's another witch in the vicinity, who I mentioned, is Fiona, but they tend to break the rules every now and then. A normal person must have gotten on his bad side though if he threw him to the sirens... [She obviously looks concerned over this, but...]

That's the gist of it. I hate being involved in underground politics like this, so I won't be digging the hole any deeper. Let's continue sight seeing before the singing starts sounding like dying cats to me.

[mjolnir_time]

[Thor looks a little disturbed, but it's hard to tell if it's Amelia's words or Loki's that bothered him.

Either way, he replies to Amelia.]

If that is your decision, we will be guided by it. This is your business after all. But is there a threat to Madigan's establishment?

[griffonix]

Most of the time my club doesn't even sit on this plane of reality, and besides, I have my wards. I've got nothing to worry about from sirens and werewolves, if that's all we're dealing with here.

That is all we're dealing with, right?

[allfatherissues]

[Loki almost looks a little disappointed.] No? No getting ourselves in over our heads? That's a shame.

[But he is along for the ride today, so he will follow Amelia. He listens with interest.]

[recluserose]

Hm. Well, I think that should be it. Your club's safe Madigan even from people like me.

[To Loki]

You should have caught me at some other time then perhaps?

[mjolnir_time]

Do not encourage him, Amelia.

[But it's said with a smile.]

[griffonix]

The day is still young, and the four of us have got to invite trouble in some form or other. [ she grins ]

Shall we head to the gardens since we're already here?

[allfatherissues]

I will certainly have to make up for this current lack of mischief in the near future, Amelia.

[As for the prospect of going to the gardens...] We might as well, if our business is done here.

I'm afraid to look forward to it.

[Thor simply offers his arm to Madigan again.]

[ Oho. That's her favorite part. She takes his arm and begins leading them towards the gardens ]

I know you boys don't know much about Vegas, but is there anything you want to do? We could go for dinner later, maybe catch a show... there's lots of things to do, so even if you have a general idea, I'm sure we could think of something.
