OPEN POST [Voice Test]

OOC: So basically, this is a voicetest post for Mirai Kuriyama from Kyoukai no Kanata or Beyond the Boundary because memes are hard so I might as well make my own post! I'll post two different scenarios, and a whatever goes choice, just indicate which one you want to play out and I'll go along! She's taken from episode six, so details are subject to change in the future!

A. Youmu Hunting

[A young high school girl is out and about. It's late at night, shouldn't she be at home? But Mirai Kuriyama has her sights set on a very large and frightening creature which... some people in the town don't notice. She's chasing it towards the park however. Follow, y/n?]

B. World Tripping

[What's this? Mirai has no idea where she is. This isn't the town she's familiar with. Heck, maybe she's not even in Japan anymore. She looks very bewildered, even a little scared.

Looks like she has ended up in a different world altogether (aka your character's world).]

C. Anything Goes

[Make up your own scenario, hit me up with an idea and we'll see what can be done!]

Seriously?! AH! Watch out!!

[Better dodge Ryuuko, monster dropping in on top of them! Mirai's leaping out of the way on time.]

[In return, she gets a wild grin on her face. That thing was too big of a target to avoid in her eyes. Switching her blade to the blunt side quickly, she'll yell out--]

One, two... Batter up!

[And SMACKS IT AWAY like a baseball. The monster will go flying down the street with a crash!]

Uwaaah!! N-Not so far or else it'll get away!

[Mirai makes a rebound and starts running at the youmu, blood sowrd out and ready. When she's up close, she makes a swipe at it and it barely dodges.]

[clotheslining]

[And as Ryuuko jumps in to follow, there will be a man's voice that Mirai may or may not be able to hear.]

See what happens when you get overconfident? I can feel the blood rushing to your head.

[When the youma throws a punch, Ryuuko uses the helm of her Scissor Blade to guard and feels the ground cracking underneath her. If she doesn't hear it, then it'll sound like Ryuuko's talking to herself.]

Yeah, yeah. I heard you give the same speech the first twenty times!

[bloodbrand]

[Well, Mirai hears something, but she's still busy at the moment! She's going for the back again and making sure her aim is better.]

HAAAAAAA!!!

[STABBITY STAB. It seems to have a real effect this time and the monster shrinks down to its original size.]

[clotheslining]

Stand back, Kuriyama! I'm gonna go wild!

[With the youmu stunned, it was her turn! Ryuuko's sword mechanically shifts into a much longer blade and the handle unlatches out to make the sword a two-handed one. Gripping the sword tight, she'll be making a clean slice to cut the beast in half!]

Finishing Move: Thread Stripper!

[Once the blade connects, a pillar of light and glittering stars follows along to envelop the monster.]

[Whooooa, flashy!!! And as the youmu disappears, from the ground appears a medium sized rock of some sort, studded with orange-red crystals. Mirai collapses to the ground with a heavy sigh.]

Awwww. You got it first! I'll just try again tomorrow.

[clotheslining]

[And just like that, Ryuuko's outfit transforms back into a regular looking sailor uniform. Her blade shrinks back into a tiny scissor blade and she puts it back into her pocket. Picking up the stone, Ryuuko observes it carefully.]

Oi... You called that monster a 'youmu', right? Why did it transform into this stone thingy?

[bloodbrand]

Eh? You don't know? I thought...

[Hold that thought. Mirai shudders and the sword disappears into her... palm of all things.]

Sorry. I'm a little tired.

[And now it looks like it's bleeding. Weird.]

[clotheslining]

[WHOA WHAT. Ryuuko's eyes widen as she notices how the sword vanishes. This was just raising even more questions! But now, she's more concerned about the bleeding.]

Oi, Kuriyama--! Your hand... It's... [She's about to walk over and check on it, but Senketsu stops her.]

Don't touch her, Ryuuko!

Eh? Senketsu--?

Right now, it would be best not to approach her. I don't like the smell of her blood.

[bloodbrand]

Ah? Who said...? Never mind.

[Mirai sits up and glumly starts wrapping up her hand again. There's a small gold ring adorning her finger and it glints from a nearby light.]

My powers were restrained the whole time, but that voice is right. My blood is dangerous, Matoi-san.

[clotheslining]

[Ryuuko is a little surprised that she could hear her uniform speak, but that was neither here or there. People tend to give her strange looks whenever she's speaking to it.]

Just ignore Senketsu! I don't know what's going on, but you were totally badass back there. I don't see a reason to be afraid of your power.

[bloodbrand]

[Before, the Mirai of the past would have rebuked a positive claim like that. She sincerely thought that there was no one who could or should accept her for what she was. She didn't deserve it.

But time had passed. Things changed. And that was because Mirai knows she's allowed to take a few steps forward herself.]

... Thank you. Thank you, Matoi-san.

[clotheslining]

[Ryuuko isn't sure what happened, but Mirai feels like a stronger person than when they first met. For some reason, that makes her feel proud. She might have not fully understood the burdens that came with Mirai's power, but using an ability to protect people couldn't possibly be dangerous in her eyes.

Bending down, she places the stone in front of Mirai for her to take.]

Here. I think this is yours.

[bloodbrand]

A-Are you sure? At least let me split the reward with you if there's enough!

[clotheslining]

Sure I'm sure! And if you really want to pay me back, you can treat me to ramen or something.

[bloodbrand]

[Mirai nods.]

Ramen sounds good. I'd be glad to treat you.

[clotheslining]

Oh, yeah. I should introduce you to Senketsu. He's got a sharp tongue, but he's a loyal friend.

[There's a short pause as there's nothing but silence. Then Ryuuko tugs at her uniform.]

Oi! Don't leave me hangin' here! You're making me look stupid!

[bloodbrand]

... It's... Senketsu is literally your uniform...

[clotheslining]

He's a memento from my father. I wanna know more about why he was created, but Senketsu has gaps in his memories.

[bloodbrand]

[Just gonna. Poke the sleeve.]

Is Senketsu a type of youmu?? But I never thought one could look like a school uniform.

[clotheslining]

That Pervert Club dude mentioned something crazy about Godrobes devouring people, but... I know for sure that Senketsu definitely isn't like that.

[The eye on the uniform actually MOVES to look in Mirai's direction.]

Before we continue this conversation... What exactly is a youmu?

AHHHHHH!!

[Sorry Senketsu, Mirai's freaking out and didn't hear the question]

I-I-I-I-IT'S LOOKING AT ME!!!

[clotheslining]

[There's a short pause before Senketsu speaks up again.]

She seems to be surprised at my actions.

I think "surprised" is an understatement there.
