OPEN POST [Voice Test]

OOC: So basically, this is a voicetest post for Mirai Kuriyama from Kyoukai no Kanata or Beyond the Boundary because memes are hard so I might as well make my own post! I'll post two different scenarios, and a whatever goes choice, just indicate which one you want to play out and I'll go along! She's taken from episode six, so details are subject to change in the future!

A. Youmu Hunting

[A young high school girl is out and about. It's late at night, shouldn't she be at home? But Mirai Kuriyama has her sights set on a very large and frightening creature which... some people in the town don't notice. She's chasing it towards the park however. Follow, y/n?]

B. World Tripping

[What's this? Mirai has no idea where she is. This isn't the town she's familiar with. Heck, maybe she's not even in Japan anymore. She looks very bewildered, even a little scared.

Looks like she has ended up in a different world altogether (aka your character's world).]

C. Anything Goes

[Make up your own scenario, hit me up with an idea and we'll see what can be done!]

[Wasn't that...? Ryuuko remembered speaking to her a while ago, but didn't think that she'd see her again. And she was chasing a SCARY MONSTER to boot. She doesn't follow her just yet, but she's wondering why no one else is spotting the beast.]

What the hell!? Is everyone here blind? There's a giant freakin' gorilla running around here and they aren't even reacting! You'd think they'd call the police or something!

[And a man's voice coming from her sailor uniform responds back.]

Cool your head, Ryuuko. Perhaps this monster can only be seen by special people. [...] That girl there might have the answers you're looking for.

Can she seriously fight that thing alone? Let's see if we need to lend her a hand, Senketsu.

[AND SHE'LL BE HEADING TO THE PARK.]

[Despite what Ryuuko thinks as long as she's following Mirai, she'll see that the small girl is actually displaying high amounts... hell, a TON of athleticism and agility. The monster is making a go for the roofs of taller buildings and Mirai is in pursuit, jumping and leaping upwards.]

You're not getting away...!

[She's gotta pay rent! She lands on a roof and the monster turns to face her and letting out a mighty roar.]

[clotheslining]

[Wow, what! Instead of jumping after her, she decides to stick to running on the ground while watching along. She's practically gawking at she watches Mirai make the leap from building to building and eventually stopping to confront the monster.]

--Whoo! Look at this chick go! Maybe she won't need our help.

Don't let first impressions cloud your judgement, Ryuuko. The fight has yet to begin.

[Ryuuko may not see what Mirai's doing exactly as she stretches out her hand, but seemingly out of nowhere, a dark red sword appears in the girl's right hand. The dark creature is advancing towards her slightly as she points the sword at it.]

Okay... Focus...

[A few seconds pass and the monster leaps towards her first. Mirai dodges as one of its appendages makes a small crater in the ground. She manages to get behind it and she whips herself around and thrusts the sword into its back.

Victory!?]

[clotheslining]

[Ryuuko doesn't see how she does it, but Senketsu quietly notes the smell of blood in the air. Instead of telling Ryuuko, he keeps it to himself for now. Seeing Mirai thrust the sword into the monster's back makes her smirk in victory.]

See that? She totally nailed it in one shot.

[Turning around, Ryuuko starts to walk away from the building.]

Well then... Guess she doesn't need my help, after all.

[bloodbrand]

I-I did it!

[And yet the turnaround the monster makes is quicker than Mirai can react because it's growing KIND OF BIGGER and roaring from the pain.]

E-EH?! It's not supposed to do thaaaaAAHHH!!

[She's still pinned to it with her sword as the monster increases in size. When it's double the size of the roof, it grabs Mirai from its back and pulls her out, sword and all, and tosses her away and thus the girl finds herself falling, down, down, down...!!]

[clotheslining]

You were saying earlier?

Oh shit--!

[Quickly turning around, she notices that the creature looks a lot bigger than before and Mirai is falling off the building. That thing was becoming even more dangerous by the minute. Taking care of the monster would have come later, she had to save the girl first! Making a full dash ahead, she lunges forward and catches Mirai in her arms.]

[bloodbrand]

[Oh, the the ground doesn't feel as hard and awful like it's supposed to be-- WAIT A MINUTE!!]

Matoi-san? How... When did you arrive?

[Mirai's still clasping the sword in her right hand and her glasses hang lopsidedly on the bridge of her nose. The monster is on the roof still and looking down on the two girls.]

[ Oreki has seen this girl walk by like four times and she looks more confused than the last. And each time he thinks 'wow she looks lost,' but...

Approaching her first to see if she needs directions would be a hassle! So he'll just lower the book he's been reading and see if she comes by again. ]

[bloodbrand]

[Look. Look at this face. Is this the face of someone who looks like she knows where she's going? She's walked back and forth about five times now and even lets out a small sniffle.]

I-I took the wrong bus!! And I don't even have enough change to go back anymore!

[energyreserve]

[ Oh cool, now he doesn't have to be curious anymore.

He considers leaving her be for a really long moment, but she looks on the verge of tears and kind of little-sister-esque, which gets to him. But he's still Oreki, so minimal efforts only. He tries waving her over, because then if she doesn't notice he gets out of helping. ]

[bloodbrand]

[Thankfully (or not for him), Mirai takes notice. She blinks once or twice at Oreki and then points at herself just to make sure.]

Um... Me?

[energyreserve]

Yeah, you.

Are you lost or something? [ Well he already knows the answer but let's be polite ]

[bloodbrand]

Er...

[The girl takes off her red rimmed glasses and starts polishing them nervously with the edge of one of her sleeves as if out of habit.]

W-W-What makes you say that? I mean, I'm not completely familiar with this area, nor am I unfamiliar and even then it's not like I can't go back!

[energyreserve]

Well, this is your fifth loop through here. [ Careful, he'll play along with lies like that if it means getting out of work... ]

[bloodbrand]

I'm... familiarizing myself with the area! Yes, that!

[Oh, man Mirai isn't sure what she should do. On the one hand it's her own fault she's trying not to look like a fool, on the other hand she's already looking like one and one who can't get back home on her own at that.]

I-I do need to get back home soon though because I have school to attend and Idon'thaveenoughmoneyforarideback.

[mjolnir_time]

[Thor and his warriors have just defeated a large group of marauders on Vanaheim. They are searching the surrounding areas for stragglers when he sees a young girl, standing alone nearby.

At the same time that Thor notices her, three of the fleeing marauders crest a hill on the other side of the girl.]

[bloodbrand]

[The girl is of a small stature and nothing else really stands out except for her bright red glasses. Mirai Kuriyama is definitely dazed by her surroundings. She could have sworn she was walking home and then chasing a youmu-- but it seems to have led her to a pathway she and no one else was aware of.

The land looks heavily forested and Mirai wasn't even sure if there were living beings... Until the three scary looking individuals wearing barbaric armor and wielding heavy looking weapons appeared. One of them is already gaining on her, thinking she's probably one of the clans people who had run away from the battleground.

She is or less really goddamned scared and her left hand clasps her right bandaged one.]

Ah! This... This is so unpleasant!

[Understatement of the year Mirai. One warrior is upon her and tries to swing her axe down at her.

But she dodges! Dumb luck?]

[mjolnir_time]

[Thor barely notices her unusual style of dress as he charges towards her. Unfortunately the marauders are closer and one of them swings an axe before Thor can reach her.

Somehow she manages to dodge out of the way, and by then Mjolnir is flying towards her attackers.]

[bloodbrand]

[Whoa!! Back up already? Mirai is able to catch a glance of her rescuer -- definitely foreign if those big muscles, blonde hair, and really flashy costume have anything to say about it. But who was he? Where is she?

Way too many questions, but not enough time for answers. The warrior with the giant axe is down for the count. Mirai pauses and calls out.]

... T-Thank you!!

[ There's two more fighters left and they look like they're about to retreat. But before she can say more, she sees another enemy behind Thor who's about to fire an arrow.]

M-MISTER!! Watch out!!

[And with surprising quickness, she rushes towards Thor and is right at his back which causes the archer to hesitate.]

You can handle those two right? I-I think I can take this!

[mjolnir_time]

[Mjolnir flies back to Thor's hand but before he can make a move against the other two or attempt to get the girl to safety, she has run up to him to...guard his back?]

I... What?

[He's so surprised by her actions that he almost misses the two remaining raiders being joined by two others. One of them attempts to drag their fallen comrade away, but the other three advance on Thor and the girl.

Thor glances up just in time to deflect an incoming sword strike. He retaliates and knocks the swordsman back about twenty feet with one blow from Mjolnir.]

I can handle all of them. There is no need to put yourself in further danger! My warriors are to the south of us. Head that way as quickly as you can.

You saved my life back there! So I think I can at least try to guard yours! Because I don't know how else to repay you after this and I don't have any money to treat you to something!

[It sucks being poor, but Mirai is a girl who's rich with tricks up her sleeve. Almost literally!

She unwraps the bandage around her right palm and the most curious sight occurs causing their attackers to stop in their tracks.]

[The thick metallic sting in the air isn't from the blood of the fallen, but rather emanates from her palm.

Dark and thick blood drips from the tiny prick in her hand, down her fingers, and instead of being absorbed into the dirt, the blood morphs and forms into a formidable and sinister looking sword.

Mirai brandishes it and readies herself with renewed determination in her eyes although she's shaking due to the fierceness of the other attackers. Their armor made them look intimidating and she's not exactly sure what she's up against.]

I can take care of at least one!

[mjolnir_time]

[Her magic is not like anything Thor has ever seen before. He blinks at her for a moment, before remembering his foes and taking advantage of their distraction.

Mjolnir smashes into the chest of one bandit, and Thor immediately swings it around to take out the second one. They crash into a small pile on top of the others, and Thor turns to face the girl and the last foe.]
