OOC: So basically, this is a voicetest post for Mirai Kuriyama from Kyoukai no Kanata or Beyond the Boundary because memes are hard so I might as well make my own post! I'll post two different scenarios, and a whatever goes choice, just indicate which one you want to play out and I'll go along! She's taken from episode six, so details are subject to change in the future!

A. Youmu Hunting

[A young high school girl is out and about. It's late at night, shouldn't she be at home? But Mirai Kuriyama has her sights set on a very large and frightening creature which... some people in the town don't notice. She's chasing it towards the park however. Follow, y/n?]

B. World Tripping

[What's this? Mirai has no idea where she is. This isn't the town she's familiar with. Heck, maybe she's not even in Japan anymore. She looks very bewildered, even a little scared.

Looks like she has ended up in a different world altogether (aka your character's world).]

C. Anything Goes

[Make up your own scenario, hit me up with an idea and we'll see what can be done!]

[ He figures it might be in bad taste to question her about her parents and where they are for this, so for now he just looks very mildly impressed that she's got a job. ]

What do you do?

I'm an assistant at a photography shop! I... make prints and take people's orders for the owner to fulfill! Yes, that!

[It sounds truthful and not truthful at the same time.]

That sounds nice and easy. Well, mostly. I don't know much about making prints.

My boss is someone who's fairly skilled. She uses a very old fashioned camera so her photography has a unique look.

[And that's actual truth! It's just that it's not Ayaka-san's main job.]

That's cool. So she's a photographer, not just someone who makes prints of other people's work? What sort of photos does she take?

I think it varies, but people like having photos of their pets.

[Well, not that Ai was one, but like hell she'll say anything about COSPLAY.]

They're really cute though, especially the cat ones! I mean, unless you don't like cats??

[ He thinks about it for a second, then just shrugs. ] I don't like or dislike them. I can see why cute cat photos would be popular, though.

Ah. That's a surprisingly neutral stance.

Do people usually feel strongly about cats? I don't have any pets at home or anything, so...

I know there's a distinction between cat people and dog people! People just prefer one over the other!

I prefer bonsai myself...

If it's between the two, I like cats more than dogs. They're more convenient.

[ He... stares at her for a really long moment. ] I'd place bonsai and pets on different levels.

Bonsai requires just as much care and attention as pets! You shouldn't underestimate their needs!

But it's just a plant...

Each one can be really unique! I think it's worth it!

That's all that matters, then. [ Bonsai seem like something Chitanda might like, and he thinks they're kind of nice to look at. But things that involve effort, no thank you!! ]

... Although I'd still keep them in a separate category from pets.

Plants are living beings too!
