OPEN POST [Voice Test]

OOC: So basically, this is a voicetest post for Mirai Kuriyama from Kyoukai no Kanata or Beyond the Boundary because memes are hard so I might as well make my own post! I'll post two different scenarios, and a whatever goes choice, just indicate which one you want to play out and I'll go along! She's taken from episode six, so details are subject to change in the future!

A. Youmu Hunting

[A young high school girl is out and about. It's late at night, shouldn't she be at home? But Mirai Kuriyama has her sights set on a very large and frightening creature which... some people in the town don't notice. She's chasing it towards the park however. Follow, y/n?]

B. World Tripping

[What's this? Mirai has no idea where she is. This isn't the town she's familiar with. Heck, maybe she's not even in Japan anymore. She looks very bewildered, even a little scared.

Looks like she has ended up in a different world altogether (aka your character's world).]

C. Anything Goes

[Make up your own scenario, hit me up with an idea and we'll see what can be done!]

[Thor and his warriors have just defeated a large group of marauders on Vanaheim. They are searching the surrounding areas for stragglers when he sees a young girl, standing alone nearby.

At the same time that Thor notices her, three of the fleeing marauders crest a hill on the other side of the girl.]

[The girl is of a small stature and nothing else really stands out except for her bright red glasses. Mirai Kuriyama is definitely dazed by her surroundings. She could have sworn she was walking home and then chasing a youmu-- but it seems to have led her to a pathway she and no one else was aware of.

The land looks heavily forested and Mirai wasn't even sure if there were living beings... Until the three scary looking individuals wearing barbaric armor and wielding heavy looking weapons appeared. One of them is already gaining on her, thinking she's probably one of the clans people who had run away from the battleground.

She is or less really goddamned scared and her left hand clasps her right bandaged one.]

Ah! This... This is so unpleasant!

[Understatement of the year Mirai. One warrior is upon her and tries to swing her axe down at her.

But she dodges! Dumb luck?]

[Thor barely notices her unusual style of dress as he charges towards her. Unfortunately the marauders are closer and one of them swings an axe before Thor can reach her.

Somehow she manages to dodge out of the way, and by then Mjolnir is flying towards her attackers.]

[Whoa!! Back up already? Mirai is able to catch a glance of her rescuer -- definitely foreign if those big muscles, blonde hair, and really flashy costume have anything to say about it. But who was he? Where is she?

Way too many questions, but not enough time for answers. The warrior with the giant axe is down for the count. Mirai pauses and calls out.]

... T-Thank you!!

[ There's two more fighters left and they look like they're about to retreat. But before she can say more, she sees another enemy behind Thor who's about to fire an arrow.]

M-MISTER!! Watch out!!

[And with surprising quickness, she rushes towards Thor and is right at his back which causes the archer to hesitate.]

You can handle those two right? I-I think I can take this!

[Mjolnir flies back to Thor's hand but before he can make a move against the other two or attempt to get the girl to safety, she has run up to him to...guard his back?]

I... What?

[He's so surprised by her actions that he almost misses the two remaining raiders being joined by two others. One of them attempts to drag their fallen comrade away, but the other three advance on Thor and the girl.

Thor glances up just in time to deflect an incoming sword strike. He retaliates and knocks the swordsman back about twenty feet with one blow from Mjolnir.]

I can handle all of them. There is no need to put yourself in further danger! My warriors are to the south of us. Head that way as quickly as you can.

You saved my life back there! So I think I can at least try to guard yours! Because I don't know how else to repay you after this and I don't have any money to treat you to something!

[It sucks being poor, but Mirai is a girl who's rich with tricks up her sleeve. Almost literally!

She unwraps the bandage around her right palm and the most curious sight occurs causing their attackers to stop in their tracks.]

[The thick metallic sting in the air isn't from the blood of the fallen, but rather emanates from her palm.

Dark and thick blood drips from the tiny prick in her hand, down her fingers, and instead of being absorbed into the dirt, the blood morphs and forms into a formidable and sinister looking sword.

Mirai brandishes it and readies herself with renewed determination in her eyes although she's shaking due to the fierceness of the other attackers. Their armor made them look intimidating and she's not exactly sure what she's up against.]

I can take care of at least one!

[Her magic is not like anything Thor has ever seen before. He blinks at her for a moment, before remembering his foes and taking advantage of their distraction.

Mjolnir smashes into the chest of one bandit, and Thor immediately swings it around to take out the second one. They crash into a small pile on top of the others, and Thor turns to face the girl and the last foe.]

[While the archer was intimidated at first, he quickly fires an arrow. Mirai swings her blood sword and the arrow is cut down. The archer doesn't allow himself to stop so one arrow after another follows. The young girl is cutting down all the arrows just as swiftly, however, and it's allowing her to advance on the enemy.

When she sees he's out of arrows, Mirai makes a rush towards him and goes in for a strike. He barely dodges, but not without a huge cut made through his metal chest plate.]

[Her courage is admirable, as is her skill, but Thor cannot stand idly by and let her fight this battle alone. He flings Mjolnir into the head of the last attacker, knocking him down.

He glances around, but there doesn't seem to be anyone else nearby. He turns back to the girl with a small smile.]

That was bravely done.

[Despite her looks, she really did have the grace and power of a warrior...!

Well, then again, still very obviously a kid. She's still brandishing her sword and looking around the field and forest in an almost paranoid manner.]

T-T-That's all of them right? I can definitely take them on if they even dare try!! I-I'm not scared!

No one could doubt your courage after such a battle.

[He gives a smile and a small bow.]

I am Thor Odinson. May I ask your name, and how you came to be here?

[Because she really doesn't look like she belongs with the Vanir.]

[Mirai calms down and when Thor introduces himself, she's a little taken aback at how polite he is. It feels... What's the word? OH WELL, figure out later. She bows back just as politely.]

I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance! I'm Mirai Kuriyama.

And actually, I have no idea how I came here at all!!

[He frowns a little at her answer, then glances around again.]

We should return to my warriors so I can tell them to come and secure these prisoners. [If any of them are still alive.

Thor gestures for her to walk with him.]

Where is your home, Mirai?

[The blood sword disappears into her palm and she quickly wraps her hand up before walking up beside him.]

I'm from Japan, Odinson-san! So, I'm definitely not from around here... Although... Where IS here exactly?? And what kind of warriors are you??

[He has only a vague idea where Japan might be, but given her appearance, Midgard is a safe bet.]

If Japan is on Earth, then I'm afraid you are very far from home. This is Vanaheim, one of the nine realms of Yggdrasil. We are the warriors of Asgard, another of the realms. Your world is known to us as Midgard, the middle realm of Yggdrasil.

W-Wha??

[Let it settle in for a second.]

That... That makes sense I think! I had no idea there were other worlds so that's very amazing! To think I stumbled here by chance! Let me see, I think it's okay to show you this then.

[She reaches into her pocket and takes out a card. She shows it to Thor and while it's in Japanese, there's her picture and there's information like her name, age, where she lives and the words seems to glow a bit with some sort of magic?]

Here! This is my Spirt World Warrior card!

[She's taking this rather well, but then again, she's obviously familiar with magic.

He takes the card from her with a puzzled glance and reads over it. Luckily the All-Tongue works as well for the written word as it does for speech, but just because he can read the words doesn't mean it makes much sense to him.]

I have never seen anything like this before. You are a sorceress of some kind?

[She takes back the card and tries to give him a sensible, but comprehensible answer.]

I'm a Spirit World Warrior, but I suppose my ability is sort of like magic. It's exclusive to my bloodline however.

On Earth, there's a Spirit World Society. We are people who can see monsters called "youmu" that normal people can't see. Sometimes they cause trouble and so someone like me is authorized to hunt them down and I gain some monetary reward from the youmu I hunt.

Youmu.

[He repeats the word, sounding it out, but it doesn't trigger any memories.]

I have never heard of such things, but then my knowledge of Earth is limited.

Were you hunting one of these youmu before you ended up here?

Ah, yes! I don't know where it is now, but it's possible it found a way to get here too.

It's true there are hidden paths between the realms, but they are not usually so easy to find.

Can you describe the beast you were hunting?

This one hand wings... Sort of like a dragon! It's big but not too big.

[She spreads our her arms until it's a straight line, indicating it's size which is approximately the length of her wingspan]

Like this! It's gray and had five blue eyes. Ahhh, I hope I didn't miss it! It might be worth a lot of money.

But, what if it flew too far away for me to find? It's impossible for me in a place I don't know at this rate!

[Is she upset? A little.]

I have not seen such a thing during the battle today. Perhaps it did not find its way here, and is still on Earth?
