It's not like we haven't thought of that before. But it's too difficult. [Too difficult to confront and there's a sense of not wanting to remember what happened.]
no subject
But the reason why makes sense- he supposes that it's 'difficult' in more ways than one.]
I see.
[And for a moment not knowing what to say next, he absently fishes the compass out of his pocket to check it.
He's pretty sure the needle is still off, but taking that error into account it seems they're still headed in the right direction.]

I think I'm making better memories to make up for the ones I don't have anymore.
no subject
I hope you remember this! It's not every day you slip ten years into the past and meet another Master, after all.
[Which brings up that niggling question of how did this happen anyways...?]

The only way I would 'forget' is through some magecraft tampering with my mind, which is not 'forgetting' at all.
no subject
You know what? That kinda makes me happy.
1/2
[The only rational reply from a 19 year old boy in this situation-]
2
[Not that she's said it that much
I checked.]no subject
I'm absolutely sure there's a part of me that's happy, but the rest is a mystery. Whooooo.
no subject
[He echos that back, completely dead-pan, then grimaces.]
What are you, five?
no subject
[Cause you know, he's technically older than her]
no subject
[For some reason, it irks him that she's the same age as him. (He'd being it down to who is older by months, but having a birthday in October doesn't exactly put the odds in his favour.)
And it irks him that she called him 'Uncle'.]
If you call me by such a horrendous nickname again I'll ditch you right here and you'll have to use a command spell to get out.
no subject
It's okay.
I have snacks.
no subject
[This is not an eyeroll. This is just him being mildly exasperated.]
And water. Dare I wonder what else you have in that bag? An easy-bake oven?
no subject
You're a genius, I should have thought of that!!
no subject
[Thank you for calling him a genius but are you for real?]
Where are you going to plug it in, dummy?
no subject
And don't call me dummy, dummy.
[Are they going to get out of the forest alive...]
Still, that reminds me, when I do go back to the States, I'm hooking myself up with an easy bake oven, thanks for the idea.
no subject
the sorrow of a 5MP magus)At least being called a dummy in return in such a child-like manner only rates 'irksome' with him.]
No problem. Knock yourself out. Get a lite-brite while you're at it.
no subject
Ah! I think I'm really close to where he is!
[He, being her Servant of course.]
no subject
So they're close to the other Lancer.]
Can you tell if he's headed for the edge of the forest?
[No point in Waver going along too if he's deeper into the forest. He's ready to get out of here.]
no subject
I think so. I'll be okay from here on out.
... What about you?
no subject
[In other words, even though he could find his way from here, he might as well stick with her a bit longer.]
