...
Why is she doing that? Is he going to have to pay for that? (Does she even take Japanese yen from other dimensions?) Or perhaps he should say, he's already paid for it because she teased him, so thanks for the extra cup.
He watches her suspiciously.]

[She winks before she returns to the kitchen in the back to clean out the pot.]
Had to make up for the teasing, right?

[He frowns at her back as she leaves to the kitchen and sighs.
It was really good coffee, though.
Fine. He'll take it. Not like he'll find this place ever again anyway.
He comes back the the counter and takes the cup and the book, and after adding some milk to the coffee he goes to make himself comfortable on the couch.
He takes a sip. Other than being a smidge cooler than his first cup, the taste is exactly the same. Amazing.]

[She bounces back outside with a bright looking expression that seems to light up the already lit cafe.]
I should have a guestbook! I want to remember people's names or read feedback from others who are able to visit here! What do you think, Waver?
no subject
A guest book for a cafe?
[Hah. It seems kinda silly, but for a place like this, that's probably not a bad idea. With a sigh he rubs at the back of his head then looks back at his book, feigning indifference.]
It's your place. Do what you want.
no subject
[Which happens. A lot.]

Do you need to close up so you can go shopping for one now? [He wouldn't put it past her to do it now.]
no subject
Sure, there's Oren, but he doesn't watch the counter.

[She looks a little sorry. Just a little.]

Arrrh. Well.]
It's probably in your job description, running a place like this. But as long as you know not everyone comes for a chat.
[Although how they come at all is a mystery, but besides that.]
no subject
[She was chatty. Iona's aware it could be a little annoying, but she really loved getting to know people. But not everyone wanted to be known, at least not right away.]
Guess I'll try to reign myself in more. Man, maybe that's what makes me a kid in witch years.

That's just ridiculous. I have enough to worry about achieving my own goals. Why should I have to look after other people like that?
no subject
Why not? You can teach others while trying to achieve your goals right?

I might not be able to see you again...
no subject
He... really doesn't know how to deal with this.]
You barely even know me.
[Not going to shoot that exact line about "You're concerned for me already? But we only just met!" back at her. Even he can tell it's not the time for that.]
no subject
Sorry for being a bummer.
And... Well, yeah, I barely know you. But I think I'll remember this first meeting of ours for a long time.
no subject
[All the same, he's looking away from her awkwardly.]

[She thinks for a few seconds before speaking up, casually mentioning...]
... If you come back during the summer, we'll have a bunch of cool drinks you should try out!
[Hint hint.]

By summer I'll be back in London. You better aim for right close to the Clock Tower if you even want a chance of me seeing that door again.
