This a post where I'll RP anything with you and that means ANYTHING. Except smut because I suck at that Got a scenario in mind? I'LL DO IT. Here's some prompts below to help get things moving along if you don't have an idea to play out. The prompts are just prompts, if you have something specific, just let me know either at sweethymns or my AIM (rainsweets). Have at it! ➢ 01. AMUSEMENT PARK: Disneyland? Knotts Berry Farm? Six Flags? A made up amusement park with knockoff characters? Who cares, let's just ride that roller coaster or that giant swing ride! ➤ 02. PARK: Benches, trees, grass, maybe a lake and a basketball or volleyball court. ➢ 03. SNOWY DAY: Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful... or the level of snowfall can be any you wish! Light or heavy, there's going to be some winter related activities somewhere. ➤ 04. DINER: I love food, I really, really, really love food. And so do muses if they like to eat too! This diner seems to have a very HUGE menu with a large variety of dishes! Let's bond over food stuffs! ➢ 05. SICK DAY: Either your muse or my muse is sick. Who's taking care of who? ➤ 06. SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN: Our characters are stuck in a closet and can't get out until there is some kissing, so they better make good use of those seven minutes... DON'T YOU DARE JUDGE ME. ➢ 07. SCHOOL: High school never ends! Or any type of schooling really. So whether it's in class or in the gym, let's try to endure mandatory education! ➤ 08. SURVIVAL HORROR: That old mansion/creepy town/underground science lab/zombie infested city ain't going to be survived by itself. [She's clearly not letting this slide.]

Maybe I should have just asked whether you've drank embalming fluid before.

[pragnanz]

Embalming fluid? God no, that would be worse than absinthe.

[ Sherlock Holmes would beg to differ. ]

What if I told you that I've drank but never gotten drunk?

[infusion]

See? That makes more sense. Though, if you're from Paris, isn't hard to avoid drinking a lot?

[pragnanz]

Generally, people find it a bad idea to get your doctor drunk at a social gathering. If someone collapses of alcohol poisoning and it's the resident physician, you can imagine the complications that would arise.

[ that, and he's a friendless loser. that too. ]

Are you disappointed?

[infusion]

Not really. I think when you put it that way, it's very sensible.

Okay, next question. [Iona it's supposed to be a one time only deal-...]

Have any family? None? Don't care?

[pragnanz]

[ She's breaking his rules!!! And with such a loaded question, albeit probably the most innocuous one ever.

He doesn't hesitate, though, and answers with a very brief: ]

A brother.

[ He doesn't say 'half', and he doesn't say 'mother or father', because at the end of the day, his mother is dead and his father's a douchebag. ]

I've a feeling you'd like him— everyone does.

[infusion]

Huh.

[Her coffee is mostly done and she swirls what's left on the bottom thoughtfully.]

I have a big brother! It's just me, him, and Grandma. And Oren. Oren counts.

[pragnanz]

Of course.

[ In reference to Oren, he means. His empty cup is placed gently aside, in reverence for how good the contents were. ]

I take it the magic is hereditary? These things seem like family affairs.

[ he's so jaded about this shit it's unreal ]

[infusion]

Yeah, you'd be right on the mark. There's exceptions to the rule, but again. Exceptions.

[She's heard of the Emerald Witch, someone whose power was given to her by the Witch King, from Berna before, who rolled her eyes about that particular individual.]

There's not a lot of magically inclined nowadays, but that's just if you don't count those who have been around for decades.

[pragnanz]

[ Ah. Well.

Brightly: ] May I ask how old you are, or is that an invasion of privacy?

[infusion]

[She rolls her eyes, but answers more easily than expected.]

23. I'm still a kid and I got ways to go before I hit my first century.

[pragnanz]

Oh good, I don't feel completely out of my depth, then.

[ That's a lie, she's completely beyond his understanding, but whatever. He shrugs about it. ]

You have the whole world ahead of you, literally and figuratively.

[infusion]

... Mm. [A delayed verbal response; it seems she's not entirely enthusiastic about being so long lived.]

So, what about you? I mean, it's obvious you're technically older than me if we keep the year in mind, but right now you're...?

[pragnanz]

[ !! His favorite game, 'guess how old I am'. ]

I'm?

[ Here's an expectant lean. ]

How old do I look? No need to be flattering, I like to think I can take it.

Ahhh...

[This is... actually kind of hard to tell. On the one hand, he looks to be around her age and yet Iona's getting that feeling one has when someone older just LOVES to yank your chain...]

25...? Nah, more than that-...

[There's a slow shuffling noise that approaches from the back of the cafe, making Iona look up and over Claude's head.]

Oren??

[oren]

Jackie.

[The mysterious man who has regulated himself to the back, unseen, has finally emerged from his safe spot. And he's... normal. Well, normal in that he looks like a fairly tall human male with attractive features and long dark hair tied back into a ponytail.

But it's the eyes that give the inhuman side away. At a glance they're silver, but like facets of a crystal, they become other colors, but his gaze is steady and unmoving. He may or may not be observing Claude closely, especially since he's been conversing with his charge.

When he speaks, his voice is deep, but his sentences and words are fragmented.]

Your phone. Vibrating. Solomon calls.

[pragnanz]

[ Well. Here's the chef to pay his compliments to, finally; he has to make a conscious effort not to stare, not that Claude makes it seem particularly difficult. His eyes are quick, they do linger a little longer than necessary over the man-who-isn't-quite-normal, before they narrow into feline slits, amused and very, very curious.

(Curiosity, cats, etc. Claude wouldn't mind, actually.) ]

You're needed. [ is what he says to Iona, before turning his attention to Oren. ] Good evening. Your coffee is quite good, I'm glad I can tell you in person.

[oren]

["Jackie" stands up with an excited, "Oh!" when she hears it's her brother. She gives Claude a quick, "Be right back," and motions Oren to stay behind the counter instead of trying to dive back into the kitchen and he quietly concedes. Does she seem worried that he's out in the open? In her own way she does, but Oren thinks she worries too much about the little things.

She disappears into the back and Oren turns to Claude when he gives his compliments. His response is to give a surprisingly humble bow of his head.]

Thank you. Constant repetition. It's the key. Wouldn't be good for others if that wasn't the case.

[pragnanz]

[ Claude is, on his part, surprised that Oren doesn't immediately retreat or ignore him outright: Iona said he was odd, but aside from the physical anomalies? He doesn't seem at all different, without counting the clipped speech. ]

Your coworker— significant other? She thinks highly of you.

[ Putting out some feelers... Bad habit. ]

Though she did call you a bit of an oddball. Personally, I think it's a compliment.

[oren]

Coworkers.

[There's a thoughtful pause after he corrects Claude. With his straight laced expression, it's hard to tell what Oren's emotions are. He has them, for sure and Berna has remarked about how sentimental he was ever since she gave him form and allowed him to take in his surroundings wherever he went with her. Humans rubbed off of him whether he liked it or not.

Oren's not sure what to make of the assumption like "significant other" though. It's probably at Iona's expense, so he doesn't take it personally. ]

Supposed to be servant. She doesn't like that. But I serve her regardless.

Says what she wants. Hyperboles abound. Not inaccurate.

[pragnanz]

[ That rings a little close to home, the notion that some relationships require different descriptors depending on the person: Gus hates it, but Claude is supposed to be his shadow. Claude himself has no real value outside of practical ones, or so he designates with grim amusement because the alternative is acknowledging that he's a real person with legitimate emotions. Pass.

So maybe he's also a servant too, and he smiles thinly about it as he tilts his head and glances up at his new conversation partner. ]

Well, I can see why she keeps you. [ ??? what kind of thing is this to say, Claude ] Does humility work on her, or does it just buy you her ire?

[oren]

[The tall man pulls up a stool to sit on as the conversation with this man from the past continues. Oren had been listening in on both Claude and Iona, so he's aware of the strangeness that has just occurred within this strange space they've made into a cafe so he knows he doesn't have to retread that ground.]

Depends.

[That's the short answer.]

Were you trying to find something? Something that irks her?

[Ah, so he's a creature that does contain curiosity that belies his emotionless facade and tone.]

[pragnanz]

My answer to that question relies heavily on whether or not I'll get punished for it.

[ Yes, the answer is yes. Not for malicious intent— there's no reason to have one— but for the sole purpose of continuing to be completely unapproachable and finding that teasing is one way to keep a conversation going without having to say much about himself. Claude is a moron. ]

[oren]

"Twisted."

[He repeats the word that his young mistress used to describe Claude and there's something bordering on bemusement that barely cracks through the stony faced Oren.]

Her words. Sharp observation coming from her.

[pragnanz]

Come, come. You don't mean to tell me that you don't find her capable of making sharp judgments?

[ Again, he sidesteps the issue of saying 'yes' or 'no', garnishes his deflections with a little shrug. ]

It won't do, to discredit her like that.
