Huh, never seen something like that happen. [ He clinks his glass against hers and takes a sip. ] Cheers to a job well done.

['Cause it's getting louder and wilder due to all the drink. And music. A terrifying combination.]
no subject
[ Is what he asks, but then a large, four-armed man is shoved into a nearby table, sending several patrons down to the floor. Peter blinks, then stands. ]
... Alright, point taken. Better get lost before the cops show up.
no subject
[That bit of irony aside, she follows his suit and stands up... and taking the blue fries :V]

[ There's the distinct sound of glass shattering, and Peter is ushering Abbie towards the exit. ] Oookay, time to go.

Guess we'll have to sleep off the booze back on the ship--??
[Annnnd a humanoid-ish alien blocks the entrance; he's decorated with scales, feathers, and claws and he waggles his brows at the both of them.]
Eyyyy, the party's just gettin' started. Why're you two fine pieces of meat leaving so soon.

[Every time she thinks it can't get any weirder...]
no subject
But we're not interested, right, Lieutenant? So we'll just be on our way, once this guy moves his ass.
no subject
[The alien side steps Peter though and gets right in Abbie's personal space. It's kind of clear by now that he's boozed up by the way he's swaying.]
Aw c'mon, don't be cold like that you two-- OW!! WHAT THE FUCK!?
[He's yelled out in pain because Abbie just. Kneed him in the area where she's pretty sure is the groin area. Except the alien doesn't double over like a male human would so she looks up at Peter kind of horrified.]
He doesn't have one of those!!
[Ah, alien anatomy.]
no subject
So Peter wastes no time in punching him across the face, sending the guy stumbling.
He grabs Abbie's hand and tries to step around toward the exit. He mutters darkly, ] Elton John wannabe.

This isn't gonna come back and bite us in the ass is it?

If you want my personal suggestion, it's that we get back to the ship and play really, really dumb if anyone comes asking questions.
Let's do the timeskip agaaaaiiin
She's up and about the ship right now, examining the interior closely. Because c'mon, spaceship!! There's actual SCIENCE behind this! Supposedly. And one more thing...]
It's getting kinda dusty in here isn't it, Quill?
no subject
[ Peter's in what the team has dubbed the "common area." He's sprawled out on the couch, his signature red coat tossed on a nearby chair, and Awesome Mix Volume 1 is playing over the ship's speakers. ]
I'll get around to it. Not like I was expecting guests, you know?
no subject
[She walks over to the speakers, mostly to look over at the tape cassette.]
Man, these are almost non-existent back on Earth now, you know? I mean, you'll find them, but everyone's going digital, now that we finally got MP3s.
no subject
[ He watches her as she moves over to the tape deck, tucking his hands behind his head, but then-- have a blank stare. ]
Earth expat, remember? Em-pee-whats?
no subject
It's a computer thing. Music files on computers are define as MP3 files. Makes it easier to share music, build playlists, discover musicians and bands. New AND old.
Think I could hook my phone into these? Could charge it at the same time too.
no subject
At her question he stands and stretches. ]
Lemme see if I can fix something up. Could probably jerry-rig a charger for you and get it hooked into the ship's power and speakers.

[ Peter grabs up some of the spare wires Rocket has lying around. He opens up a small panel in the wall and sets to work. He's not as fast as Rocket would have been, but he makes do. ]
Think I've got it. Should be able to stick these wires in the charge port. You'll have to be careful about moving your-- phone around too much. [ He pauses at the word, because he remembers regular phones on Earth as having buttons and cords, and mobile phones as being large, clunky, disgustingly expensive things. ] Probably a good idea to just leave it on the table.
no subject
Here's hoping for the best??
[AND PLUG IN!!! Well. Nothing exploded!! And...]
Oh, it lit up! That means it's charging. [thank god] Good job!

I'm a consummate professional, Lieutenant. Of course it worked.
