[To be fair, love is a subject that Lien is okay with looking at on the outside through a window. Fascinating to study and she could probably come up with some decent and even deep insights...

I'm trying to make sense of this place actually. If Ai Thao's still on the same wavelength as me, she's probably trying to figure out what an incomplete place like this has to do with Servants.

[A blink and she looks up at Diarmuid.]

[ Ai being offensive and Lien being more defensive with her powers... hm. ]

That's just about right. I see projections of the past, but it also extends to realizing and reading the structure of objects, going through texts, even seeing how an item was used in the past.

[A beat. And she points at his face.]

I could probably look into your memories if I tried hard enough.

She only takes about two to three minutes to make her examination, before pulling back, with a frown on her face.]

[ He asks, when he finds it prudent to break the silence. That frown doesn't go unnoticed, at the very least. ]

[She stands up, crossing her arms, trying to think of a description.]

It's like... the age of this place isn't all that old. And the shadow sea we got out there? [She gestures with her thumb.]

I feel like it's a similar or the same substance that caused that disaster in the real Fuyuki ten years ago after the last War.

[ Which lends itself to their theory that the Grail this time around is corrupt (if it hasn't always been). Troubling. ]

If this is all a result of a faulty system, the only solution becomes to defeat the system itself.

[System, system... She motions Diarmuid to follow her now that she's analyzed this fake world and has a better idea of where the other two may be.]

Diarmuid, I have a question. Have you ever been summoned in a previous War before or do Servants' memories reset once one is done? Ai knows a little more than me, but I'm just jumping into things if it isn't obvious already.

The summoning was unorthodox, but I answered her call as she was being attacked near a rift, yes.
