[ a soft chuckle, and he gets up to deposit his mug in the sink. ]

Understood, Master. You sure you don't want to use a Command Spell for that?

[Her cheeks puff up.]

[ The sound of running water cuts their conversation, before Lancer tosses her another question. ]

Don't you have work or school to go to?

[psychometer]

I won't have work until tomorrow unless someone calls for a shift. Class...

Eh. I "read" all the required books and that means half of my assignments are done.

[lansaigh]

Huh. Maybe for the best, considering how much running around happened last night.

[psychometer]

Mm.

[The sun's glow is growing stronger as the morning moves on. She seems to get lost in thought as she nurses her mug in her hands, sitting with her arms wrapped around her knees.

She begins to quietly hum a song. Both she and Ai loved this song when they were younger. They still loved it. She skips ahead to a later verse, one that speaks to her at that moment.]

[ For all intents and purposes, Lancer should be in spirit form by now, given that he has no business being material other than to linger around and provide a presence. He doesn7t say anything when she starts singing (interrupting seems like a poor choice), and so he contents himself with sitting at the dining room table and roughly combing through his long, blue hair in time to Lien's singing. ]

[She rubs her eyes. Almost done being sleepy. The song reminds her though and she looks up at Cu.]

Hey. I asked Diarmuid about this yesterday, but you're supposed to remember your previous memories of when you were summoned and in this world right?

[lansaigh]

[ This again...! Do twins have telepathy? Maybe.

He looks up from where he'd rested his chin on the dining room table, and shrugs lightly. ]

Supposed to, yeah. Did he tell you about how the Servant system works?

[psychometer]

[She nods.]

You're supposed to retain accumulate knowledge once you return or perish. Technically, you're just another projection.

[Honestly though, there's another reason she's asking this.]

[ Ah. He'd told Ai that he thinks Lien is a lonely little thing, and his suspicions are mildly confirmed with this question.

A slow turn of the head, and he smiles with a bit of fond exasperation tingeing the corners of the expression. ]

It's been centuries since I've met some people in my homeland, but I still remember them as if I'd seen them yesterday. So don't worry about me going senile— in a thousand years, I'd probably remember you and your little chest.

[psychometer]

[FFFFFF, she buries her face in her knees, trying not to laugh or shout at him, or both.]

[But she doesn't sound mad.]

Watch who you're calling an idiot, miss.

[ He gets up, walking over towards her to mess up her hair (he'll be doing this often) before he retreats to a safe distance. ]

I don't make promises.

[She stands up, putting her mug in the sink and heading to her bedroom to get ready for a shower. Before she does, she calls him.]

[lansaigh]

[ He has his hair up in his customary ponytail again, when Lien calls him over. ]

Yeah? What is it?

[psychometer]

Guess what?

[And she says this with the brightest beam she's made in a while.]

I'm happy! And I won't forget you either.

[lansaigh]

[ That's disarming, and he looks properly surprised for the moment it takes for those words to sink in.

But, being the kind of guy that he is, he heaves a soft breath and curls his lips up in kind. ]

Keep being happy, then, little Master. That look suits you.

[psychometer]

Say, are you still interested in fishing?? [She remembers seeing him do so in those rare quiet moments in the shared dream]

Let's go out and hang out at the harbor today! I heard it's a good fishing spot.

[lansaigh]

[ A light "hm"?, and he looks over his shoulder as he's turning to leave. ]

Yeah, that's fine, but do you have a rod?

[psychometer]

I could rent one for you! Or just buy one. Either is fine with me.

[lansaigh]

Don't buy one unless you need one. Renting one's fine with me.

[psychometer]

Got it!

[And she leaves it at that and goes to freshen up.]

[A few hours later, Lien has led the both of them to the harbor. The sky is blue with only one or two puffy white clouds out in the open. Fishing equipment has already been rented, courtesy of her. She's brought along a book or two to kill some time as well.

Oh, and also, new glasses. After setting up a portable chair, she puts them on, blinking.]

Alright. If all goes well, there's no way I can ruin these today.

[lansaigh]

[ Lancer's settled himself down on a nice spot on the docks, legs folded and already testing how the rod feels in his hands; it's not what he's used to, but he's impressed by all the fancy features. Like a kid with a new toy. ]

Don't drop 'em in the water, I'm not swimming.

[ He says, as he casts the line into the sea, hunkering down for his fishing adventure for the next few hours. ]

[She sits down on her chair, leaning back.]

I'll try to hold back the urge to chuck them in there, but again. No promises.

[lansaigh]

Hopefully Hans Gruber won't come ruin this outing.

[ And, who knows where he got the money to buy it, but he takes out a can of black coffee and sets it down next to himself, cracking it open and taking a sip before focusing his attention on his future catch. ]
