This a post where I'll RP anything with you! Got a scenario in mind? I'LL DO IT. If you wanna chat IDEAS.GIF, contact me at sweethymns or my AIM (rainsweets). I also have LINE as maiscribbles. Have at it!
She had been staring up at the sky, hands behind her back, before hearing the automobile stop and pull over. A pair of scarlet eyes blink at the man with messy long hair.
The young woman dressed in white and a long dark skirt regards Ardyn with more curiosity than anything, stepping around to examine his car first and then him. It's hard to parse her thoughts from her face alone, but when she speaks, there's nothing ill or malicious in tone, nor is there much concern for her current status. ]
Well, it was very nice of you to stop then. Thank you for that.
[But Arcueid Brunestud only has one question.]
But as long as you're here, could you tell me where I am right now? The sky doesn't seem quite the same here.
[As she steps around his car, Ardyn can't help but raise a brow at her. He lets her look, though, appearing amicable enough. His smile, vaguely smug, doesn't seem to leave his face.
Her question, however, is quite curious.]
The sky? It's the same as it ever has been; though they do say the nights begin to run longer than before. Strange, no?
[Grinning a little, he jerks a thumb back towards the way he came.]
You're a mile or two north of Lestallum. I take it you're lost, then?
[Her brow wrinkles. There's nothing in her current knowledge of the world that allows her to know what "Lestallum" is. It doesn't help that this obviously isn't her world.
(The memory of a prince whose company was temporary, but fun, lingers, she wonders if this is connected and if she'll be making another memory today.)]
Another dimension? My, either you're absolutely full of tall tales, or we have a completely different sort of problem on our hands -- something a bit more complicated than you merely being lost.
[Or maybe the girl was just mad. That was always an option. And yet he's not so quick to dismiss the notion, not in a world of astrals and magic and daemons. Was a different sort of dimension that hard to believe?
At the very least, Ardyn is curious.]
My name is Ardyn Izunia. Ever at your service, O displaced one.
Indeed there is not. [Another arch of a brow, the breeze playing with his already mussed hair.] In that case, I suppose I have little choice but to take you at your word?
[Or rather, he's choosing to. He could just drive by, laughing at her nonsense all the way. But he won't, not this evening.]
You may ask. What help I can provide, however, depends on what you require. As knowledgable as I may be, "alternate dimensions" is one subject that's escaped me yet.
[He laughs, amused. He motions at the seat next to him. There sits a hat, though to make room for her, he merely picks it up and situates it on his head.]
And here I've just come from a city. You'd have me turn around, wouldn't you? Well, you're lucky that I'm such a generous soul, and that my schedule is as malleable as I allow it to be.
You may hop in, then, but only if you promise to tell me more about yourself. And your situation.
[And once she's situated, he'll make a turn on the road. Off in the opposite direction they go, the way he just came. The moon hangs above, hidden behind opaque clouds as they drive.]
Fair as fair can be. And I can even start easily enough; what do you think brought you to Eos? And where, exactly, are you from?
I've not heard of any of those places. Naturally, that doesn't bode well for you.
[How casually he says it, and with such flippancy at that. Almost as if he isn't terribly concerned about her fate one way or another, just merely driven by curiosity.]
You think the moon has something to do with it? [Why else would she bring it up?] Why?
[He lifts his gaze up to the moon only briefly before casting it back to the road again. It's hazy up there, in all those clouds, casting its glow to the world below.]
Drawing power from the moon? Now there's an idea.
[In other words, Arc, no, it isn't the same here.]
What sort of power are you talking about, exactly?
It's a theory! But for all I know, I'm just dreaming about riding a car with a stranger at night. Any moment now, I'll wake up and think that it was just a pleasant occurrence.
[Arcueid admits things like this too easily, god.]
Although, it would be weird if I dreamed up something like this to begin with...
Ah, a pleasant occurance. You hardly know me and you're paying such a fine compliment. I'm flattered.
[He laughs, a sound carried away by the wind. If he has anything more to say on the matter, it's suddenly lost.
Because there's a soft hue of purple swirling up from the road, like a portal opening. Two small portals. As they draw closer, the headlights of Ardyn's car shine brightly on two strange little figures. Green and hooded, carrying a lamp and... a kitchen knife.
He slows down, his grin sharp. What irony, he thinks. Perhaps they were drawn to his passneger's otherworldly presence?]
[Arcueid, stands up against her better(?) judgement to get a look at the small portals. Would those return her...? Instead, when Ardyn's car shines a light on the "daemons," she blinks, but stares at the tiny squat green figures with fascination.]
"Daemons?" That's a sinister name for a monster if I've ever heard one!
[And Ardyn is putting the car in park, not passing the little creatures. What does that tell you, Arc?]
They'll not let us pass. [Correction: they'll not let her pass, not without putting up a fight.] Of course, unless we wish to turn around completely, we'll have to deal with them one way or another.
[He motions vaguely at where they stand in the road, waddling about.] They're called tonberries. Aren't they precious?

(The memory of a prince whose company was temporary, but fun, lingers, she wonders if this is connected and if she'll be making another memory today.)]
More than lost. I don't really belong here.
no subject
Dear girl, no one belongs in the middle of the road. If your meaning is something else, make it clear, else even I cannot help you.
no subject
I'm from another dimension entirely! I don't remember how I got here, but I think I'll be able to return eventually.
[DOES THAT HELP]
My name's Arcueid! What's yours?
[God she just likes talking casually]

[She lets out a huffy breath as if indignant.]
... So if you're at my service, does that mean I can ask for help?
[Although Arcueid isn't sure what to ask help for. She figured if she found a place to sleep she could just. Wake up. Just like that. Yes.]
no subject
[Or rather, he's choosing to. He could just drive by, laughing at her nonsense all the way. But he won't, not this evening.]

[Arc pauses and then holds out fist and sticks out her thumb.]
You can call me a hitchhiker! Can you give me a ride to the next town or city?
no subject
And here I've just come from a city. You'd have me turn around, wouldn't you? Well, you're lucky that I'm such a generous soul, and that my schedule is as malleable as I allow it to be.

Flexibility is a good quality to have. It's making me fortunate right now after all.
And I'll tell you what I want, depending on what you ask. Sound fair?
no subject
Fair as fair can be. And I can even start easily enough; what do you think brought you to Eos? And where, exactly, are you from?
no subject
I was living in a city called Misaki. The land is called Japan and it's a continent on the planet Earth.
[Huh, she said the same thing to that prince didn't she?]
Now what brought me here...
[Arcueid looks up at the sky again thoughtfully, her eyes glinting from the light of the moon.]
... I think I was just walking at night through the city as usual. But the moon was just as bright there as it is right now.
no subject
[How casually he says it, and with such flippancy at that. Almost as if he isn't terribly concerned about her fate one way or another, just merely driven by curiosity.]
You think the moon has something to do with it? [Why else would she bring it up?] Why?

Drawing power from the moon? Now there's an idea.
[In other words, Arc, no, it isn't the same here.]
What sort of power are you talking about, exactly?
no subject
I guess it would seem like magic... But on the other hand there are spirits and beasts that are affiliated with the moon and draw upon its light.
[Like her for instance! She's practically invincible at night (kinda sorta)]
no subject
Are you saying that the moon may have had some similar sort of effect on you, pulling you all the way out into Eos?
[He can't help but wonder what manner of girl she was.]
no subject
[Arcueid admits things like this too easily, god.]
Although, it would be weird if I dreamed up something like this to begin with...

Look, we have company. Daemons.
no subject
"Daemons?" That's a sinister name for a monster if I've ever heard one!
Are they going to cause you trouble?
no subject
They'll not let us pass. [Correction: they'll not let her pass, not without putting up a fight.] Of course, unless we wish to turn around completely, we'll have to deal with them one way or another.
[He motions vaguely at where they stand in the road, waddling about.] They're called tonberries. Aren't they precious?

Arcueid blinks again and points to herself.]
So... Should I do something about it?
[JUST MAKING SURE HERE]
no subject
Can you do something about it?
no subject
Yes I can. [Arc, just make up your mind, the tonberries are advancing.]
But what about you?
