More Crossover Continuity ⇒ Double Date, Double Trouble

[After a wild weekend in the town of Blackgale, specifically at Amelia's house, the witch spent most of her time smoothing things over with the questioning locals, grading all of her student's neglected essays, and trying to apologize to the talking cat commune for not warning them about the huge human gathering. It's tough being the only witch in town sometimes. She needed to relax. What does she plan?

Why, another trip to Las Vegas, Nevada of course! Well, it wasn't so much to enjoy the tempting offers of Sin City, but to visit the person Amelia was now comfortable calling a friend, the owner of the... interesting club, Griffonx. Madigan of course!

A quick magic teleportation and search for the hidden club later, Amelia opens up the door to the establishment, dressed casually.

It should be a normal day with nothing unexpected happening whatsoever...]

[By now they've probably approached the crowd around Treasure Island. Being tall is an advantage, so Thor can look over most of the crowd to see the show they're watching.]

... Those are the sirens?

Those would be them, yes.

[ She's not exactly short, even less so when she's wearing heels, so she pauses a moment to watch ]

You know, I almost auditioned once.

[He's a little captivated by the performance, but he looks to her in slight surprise.]

You would enjoy dancing in so little clothing for all to watch?

[griffonix]

You say that like you wouldn't enjoy watching.

[ she's teasing, of course, and nudges him with her elbow ]

Like I said, I have a healthy sense of irony. I mean, I'm practically a siren myself. I thought it would be funny to play one.

Of course I would enjoy watching.

[He slips an arm around her shoulders with a smile.]

You changed your mind?

[ She leans against him, grinning ] Too much extra work. I have my girls and the Griffonix to think about.

Did you choose this town for your business?

[griffonix]

I did. The building was originally enchanted to move anywhere and anywhere. I tweaked it to keep it in Vegas.

[mjolnir_time]

I did not see much of your establishment before we left.

[griffonix]

I suppose you didn't. I'll have to give you the grand tour eventually.

[He's lost interest in the not-sirens.]

What is your favorite place in this city?

[griffonix]

My favorite place? My favorite place is home, but I suppose that's cheating.

I was going to suggest we go next to whatever is your favorite place.

If that would be your home, I would not necessarily object.

... I'd like you to meet Griff anyway, and no offense, but that would go better without your brother around.

None taken, and I would very much like to meet your griffon friend.

[Loki and Amelia can trace them wherever they go, so there's no reason to stay at this location.

Thor offers his arm to Madigan again as they set off.]

[ They don't have to go far- they just turn a corner, and there it is, normal people passing right by it like it's not even there.

At this time of night, business is a bit more booming. There are couples (and sometimes groups of three) scattered around the main sitting area, all occupied more with each other than anything else. Occasionally they will rise from where they're sitting, and head up the stairs to the back.

There's a young, sporty-looking blonde woman behind the bar, and she glances from Madigan to Thor and back, with a quirked eyebrow and an obvious smirk of approval. Mads merely winks and guides Thor to the stairs ]

There's not much else to see down here.

[Thor catches the look between them and gives the woman a smile before following Madigan to the stairs.]

It seems you're not lacking in patrons.

[griffonix]

Most often, me and my girls are as close to healers as any of these people can get. But that's not to say they don't show up for some fun, too.

[ At the top of the stairs, there's a long, wide hallway lined with doors. Bedrooms, actually. They're headed for the door at the end of the hall. ]

Do your workers all have the same powers that you do?

[griffonix]

They do.

... Believe me, I know what it's like to grow up with this power, and no idea how to use it. No one deserves that.

So! I take them in, and teach them. If they wish to stay, then they're more than welcome. If not, then at least they go out my door armed with knowledge.
