[She's rubbing her chin, thinking this over, especially in terms of what her friends have called her.
Amazon. The Incredible Hulk. The Not-Drunken Fist...]
Well, I'm really good at arm wrestling...
no subject
[Wow, are you an idiot?!]
no subject
Maybe yes, maybe no, but we'll never know because none of them have arm wrestled with me.
no subject
What the hell-
[The he turned around and walked firmly up to the counter.]
No Magus would battle like that! He'd run you through with a Gandr or a fireball or something before you could even sit at the table!
[Well, okay maybe not exactly. A Magus battle was a gentleman's battle (for the most part) and had rules, but still!]
no subject
[Raising her brows and giving Waver a cheeky grin.]
You're concerned for me already? But we only just met!
no subject
[What. The. ---]
I'm trying to show you how much of an idiot you are about Magus. Geez.
[Calling someone you just met an idiot, nice.]
no subject
Anyways, with that kind of reaction, I bet you're a greenhorn when it comes to girls aren't you?
no subject
Wh-What the hell are you saying?!
[Iskandar teased him plenty enough about that- the last thing he needs is some stranger digging at him about it too!
With a huff he puts the book down on the counter with more force than was strictly necessary.]
Thank you for the coffee.
[The rain is better than where this is going.]
no subject
Sorry, sorry. I like teasing younger people, but it's all in good fun. I get that from my grandma.
no subject
I'll have you know it's not good fun to be on the receiving end of it. At all.
[If she gets teased by her grandmother she should know that, but maybe she's just too used to it.
In any case, the apology doesn't stop him from walking back towards his coat to check how dry it is.]

...
Why is she doing that? Is he going to have to pay for that? (Does she even take Japanese yen from other dimensions?) Or perhaps he should say, he's already paid for it because she teased him, so thanks for the extra cup.
He watches her suspiciously.]
no subject
[She winks before she returns to the kitchen in the back to clean out the pot.]
Had to make up for the teasing, right?
no subject
[He frowns at her back as she leaves to the kitchen and sighs.
It was really good coffee, though.
Fine. He'll take it. Not like he'll find this place ever again anyway.
He comes back the the counter and takes the cup and the book, and after adding some milk to the coffee he goes to make himself comfortable on the couch.
He takes a sip. Other than being a smidge cooler than his first cup, the taste is exactly the same. Amazing.]
no subject
[She bounces back outside with a bright looking expression that seems to light up the already lit cafe.]
I should have a guestbook! I want to remember people's names or read feedback from others who are able to visit here! What do you think, Waver?
no subject
A guest book for a cafe?
[Hah. It seems kinda silly, but for a place like this, that's probably not a bad idea. With a sigh he rubs at the back of his head then looks back at his book, feigning indifference.]
It's your place. Do what you want.
no subject
[Which happens. A lot.]
no subject
Do you need to close up so you can go shopping for one now? [He wouldn't put it past her to do it now.]
no subject
Sure, there's Oren, but he doesn't watch the counter.

[She looks a little sorry. Just a little.]
no subject
Arrrh. Well.]
It's probably in your job description, running a place like this. But as long as you know not everyone comes for a chat.
[Although how they come at all is a mystery, but besides that.]
no subject
[She was chatty. Iona's aware it could be a little annoying, but she really loved getting to know people. But not everyone wanted to be known, at least not right away.]
Guess I'll try to reign myself in more. Man, maybe that's what makes me a kid in witch years.
