[She stands up and covers up another yawn with her hand.]

Anyways, I'm fine. Want coffee??

[lansaigh]

[ He just...sighs... and gets up from his perch, running a hand through his hair. ]

Go read a book, kiddo. My name means the "Hound of Chulainn".

[ Does his Master really not know this about him... this is the most unconventional summoning he's ever been subject to. ]

Sugar, no milk.

[psychometer]

Got it, got it.

[She casually waves her hand at him as if disregarding what he had said and goes to the kitchen area for coffee making. In a few minutes, the warm and dark scent fills the room and two mugs are prepared. One for him (sugar and no milk as requested) and another for her (sweetened with condensed milk)

Lien brings them over, handing Lancer his share and she sits down, taking a cushion and setting both it and the cup on her lap. She's quiet and contemplative. As she holds her mug up to her mouth, she mumbles.]

Sorry.

[lansaigh]

[ He hasn't taken a sip of his coffee yet, so he looks over the brim of hi s mug and raises a brow to indicate that he doesn't know why she's apologizing. ]

What, was the coffee that bad? I'll still drink it.

[psychometer]

No. Not that.

[She runs a hand through her hair and sighs.]

I didn't apologize about the first few days after we made our pact. You know, when I was busy with school and work and I didn't really talk much and generally avoided you??

[A beat. She sighs.]

God, I'm so lame. Making a late apology like this...

[lansaigh]

[ He looks like he's genuinely puzzled about this, and he sets his mug down onto the nearest flat surface to free up his hands in case he spills his drink. ]

What.

Did you think I took it personally?

[psychometer]

[Lien sounds sheepish.]

I know I can be abrasive. [NO REALLY] But that was just... I don't know. I know you're technically a spirit of dead person, but you're still here, so doing that was just kind of... Well.

[lansaigh]

Well, whatever clears your conscience, but— damn, I hope I don't come across as that sensitive.

[ A hand runs through his hair again, and he unclasps his hairpiece to set down the ornate silver to the side. ]

This wasn't a normal summoning, so it's not that big of a stretch to consider that you wouldn't know what to do with a Heroic Spirit. We're not familiars, after all.

[psychometer]

It was over the line, even for me. But that's out of the way now.

[Talk about a different look. She doesn't remark on that though as she sips her coffee. But hey, as long as he's pretty open to her being the way she is...]

... Am I supposed to be having dreams about your past life??

[lansaigh]

[ That question makes certain things click into place, and he laughs as he reaches for his coffee again. ]

It happens. We have a connection, so it's common to share facts and memories.

[ A sip, and he smirks. ]

[lansaigh]

Okay, fair enough.

That was definitely strange way to dream though. The world looked really different back then, at least where you were from.

[And despite all the hardships, from what she saw, Cu Chulainn was a man who lived happily, through thick and thin.]

[lansaigh]

Huh? Yeah, it was fun while it lasted. I met some good people, slept with some great women.

[ He may have disappointments, but nothing he regrets— it's obvious, by his tone. ]

[psychometer]

[She mockingly covers her ears with her hands and in the same monotonous voice.]

Whoa, pure maiden here.

[lansaigh]

What, you didn't see that part?

[ Spoken so blithely: it's not even a big deal to him, let's be real. ]

[psychometer]

[She covers her face with her mug because she's the immature one here and let's be real, she's only been living a real life for about a decade so these things are kind of out of her range even if she's technically an adult. Sort of. Not really.]

[lansaigh]

[ Another short laugh and he settles back on his perch, legs thrown out in a distinctly ill-mannered fashion. ]

That's private, so we can both forget that you saw it.

[psychometer]

[She doesn't feel like a Master right now, not when she's feeling this awkward about a shared dream and he's not worried about it at all. It's a change of pace as Lien was usually the one who blindsides people and throws them off.

She's off balance here and she doesn't know how to feel about it.

[lansaigh]

[ He'll conveniently leave out the fact that he probably slept with half of Ireland... he can tell that the topic of conversation is, in a word, mildly uncomfortable, so— here we go, switching gears.

She ignores his comment about her blushing which is fainter now that the topic has changed]

You think she's uptight? She's just serious, not what I call overly strict.

And yeah, we stuck to each other a little more closely back then. I took her place in piano class and she replaced me in choir. Ironic really. We found out we were good at each others subject.

[lansaigh]

She's a worrier. Those usually tend to have a hard time being flexible, but I'm not passing judgment on her, not yet.

[ A wave of the hand. He feels like she reminds him a bit of someone, equally as serious and maybe a bit clumsy— a woman with red hair? It's vague, and he moves on from that particular train of thought. He doesn't know Ai enough, anyway. ]

And that's a twin thing, isn't it? I wouldn't know, but it seems like a thing that'd be possible.

[psychometer]

Hm. Probably just a coincidence. [She stands up to refill her coffee cup and holds out the pot, offering the same to Lancer.]

Besides maybe she seems that way because she was with you, Mr. Hound.

[lansaigh]

[ He hands her the mug, red eyes sweeping the room for a sign of a piano, since she's mentioned it. ]

What's that supposed to mean, huh?

[psychometer]

You're... You. [Wow, good explanation. She refills his cup and sits down again, brushing her hair behind one ear.]

You don't exactly scream, "safe to be around with."
