Premise

Okeanos has been conquered a long while ago and yet there is yet ANOTHER observed irregularity in the middle of the ocean. The waters are eerily calm, the sky is clear with only a few white clouds dotting the sky. There is no land in sight. What is there instead, but a titan of a cruise ship full of luxuries such as fully furnished bedrooms, an indoor waterpark, an equipped gym for exercise and sports, an industrial kitchen with a stocked cabinet of food supplies, a ballroom, a mini-golf course, bowling... And more!

The Servants of Chaldea aren't slackers by any means, but a little more fun can't hurt, right? But maybe this time around, things won't be as straightforward as it seems...

"Chaldea Phantasm" is an open sandbox RP post for players to roleplay in the setting based on the mobile game, Fate Grand Order and the Fate franchise. You can play out scenarios between Master and Servant(s), Servants fighting each other, monsters, material/event grinding, AUs, etc.

This post will have actual prompts that can be used at your leisure! Otherwise, feel free to write up your own scenario.

A) Waku Waku Splash!

A certain child king has brought it upon himself to deck out the indoor swimming pool with his own personal touches so everyone can have an exciting and enjoyable experience. There's a current pool, a wave pool, a HUGE water slide, and even pools for diving and racing. You know what this means! Swimsuits! There are rules in place to keep the peace and one of them is of particular note.

"Troublemakers will be banned from Waku Waku if they are caught misbehaving, disturbing and/or be harassing our female guests. The following guests have been banned:"

B) Fate/Grand Blue

This is your more general SOL prompt. Have a walk around the beautiful cruise ship. Enjoy the blue sky! Maybe do some fishing. Raid the fridge or wait until the Kitchen Moms of Chaldea create a fantastic spread for everyone. Reenact that scene from the Titanic (except the boat sinking part). There's a karaoke machine in one of the lounges that might be fun to do!

C) A Study in Ocean Blue

SPECIAL EVENT

A body has been found in the ballroom! The poor deceased man looks as if he was the captain of the ship. There may be several clues littered around the ballroom and into the captain's quarters that may lead to an answer! Or not? Make sure the body doesn't disappear and don't run into ghosts on the bottom floors of the ship if you try to solve this mystery!

(For this prompt, feel free to write the mystery any way you want! Comedy option is that the body disappears, serious option, it was ghosts.)

E) Fatal Battle!?

Something sinister and monstrous this way comes.

The more keen-eyed and alert Servants may have noticed a presence that has marked this oceanic singularity as a threat and it comes in the form of a titanic Water Dragon. The cruise ship trembles as the beast approaches, angry that its territory has been invaded. Hopefully, our more skilled Riders will take the wheel and navigate around it safely, but it's up to you to subdue the dragon ~~and try not to get swallowed whole, there's a whole other level inside and maybe valuable mats and a Grail!?~~.

Well, stop pouting. Getting a timeout sucks, but I'm sure there's something fun we can do without making another tsunami!

[O-oh! The sunglasses surprise her, but she's immediately pleased by them. They hide her unsettling red eyes and the they're large enough to hide the tops of her cheeks should she end up blushing. How convenient! Yes, she likes these.

Ishtar smiles, and adjusts the tinted glasses after recovering from her momentary shock.]

I suppose I could join you in whatever activity you'd like. With these glasses as tribute, consider your reward the company of this goddess. Let us find some fun.

[A not so small declaration that the sunglasses are hers now. You can't have them back.]

So I'm not getting them back!? Well, whatever.

[ Ishtar isn't the company he expected to keep, but if she's not going to be pouty or gloomy here or anywhere, that's a good thing. He'll just think of it as doing a favor for their Master. Though reining Li Kui in is probably easier than keeping a goddess in check...

OH WELL! THIS IS FINE!!

Bouncing back from his loss, he leaps to his feet and announces, ]

Alright! You're just in luck, Ishtar. I, Yan Qing, the Skillful Star, have gathered valuable information that may prove useful to our cause!

[Smiling brighter, Ishtar quickly becomes full of laughter. As if she wasn't even sulking hardcore five minutes ago. She rights herself in the air, and makes a grand sweeping motion with her arms as a way to give him the lead.]

If that's the case, lead on! Your goddess shall accompany you wherever you may wander.

[At first she wanted to turn this guy into dust, but now she seems to be having fun. She's definitely a capricious soul.]

[ Man, he's just glad he's not dying today. He might not be as talented a diplomat as Ritsuka, but ah, he's so good at this! They should start paying him in grails at this rate.

Once they're out of the indoor pool, he huddles closer to whisper in her ear, game face on. ]

Okay. Don't tell anyone I told you, but I saw Emiya and Tamamo Cat baking some cookies in the kitchen. Chocolate chip. All the kids are in the pool now... If we get there in ten minutes, we can get the first batch before anyone else.

[That's his idea of a fun time? Seriously? Did she promise her time to a ten year old? Ah, but she did promise. With the glasses as payment she can't refuse...

Or maybe she's using the glasses as an excuse to tag along and be pleasant. Ishtar is thankful he can't see her roll her eyes behind the glasses, but she nods.]

If that's what you'd like, then let us retrieve them while they're still soft and fresh. A goddess and her companion deserve the best.

[She'd be more excited about this, but... him having spooked her with Emiya's face earlier makes her a little on edge over the notion of possibly seeing him again.]

[ Honestly, Yan Qing thought he was babysitting... He's only adjusting to her needs? He was about to race her, too, but the tone of her voice is enough to clue him in. ]

What's wrong now? I thought kids liked food.

You view me as a child?

[Her tone goes sour real quick.]

[ rAISES HIS HANDS UP ]

Woah, easy, easy! I get it. You're an adult. Let's do adult things! Uh...

[ This should be easy, but what's a fun thing to do without getting both of them into trouble with Master again? Definitely not the pool. Hmm. ]

I got it.

Let's go on a date.

[Her expression turns from pointed anger to something a little more flat. Color rises to her cheeks, but she allows the sunglasses to fall on her nose a little to hide it.]

I am aware you're just trying to appease me, but very well. I've already agreed to give you my time.

[She might also be a little more excited about it than she lets on. Ishtar is a creature of vanity and a tad bit of narcissism. Now that she has fused with this vessel anything similar to it she has a soft spot for. His dark hair and the complexion of his skin is similar to hers. She likes it.]

[ ...

.........

......... Wait...

This isn't how he expected it to go. Partly because Ishtar's so high-maintenance and difficult, but mostly because he's a bundle of self-hate who can't believe that anyone would actually want to hang out with an outlaw like him. And how can they when he can't even want to be himself?

There's a slight pause in the same time it takes him to crush all these feelings at shove them where she can't see them. ]

... Woah, that's a shocker. I thought you'd ask me to turn into Gilgamesh or something.

Don't speak of that awful Goldy with horrid preferences! I don't want to hear his name again!

[She pouts again. Hard.

By the end of Babylonia she mostly got over her lingering feelings for him. Kind of. Honestly she's still holding a grudge from when he rejected her, and the the whole time he bullied her during that singularity. A part of her truly wants him dead, and that's why she sent the Bull of Heaven after him. Ishtar is a dangerous duality full of contradictions.]

Roger that! [ but he says this as he sighs and rubs the back of his neck. He didn't mean to make her pout! This is going to be the longest date ever. ]

But seriously, you don't want me to turn into anyone? No special requests? I don't mind if you're a little perverted, you know.

I gave my time to you, not anyone else!

[Ah, but she has a keen eye. One or two hints may have slipped by her, but at this point his dodgy behavior and his shifting form clue her in.]

Ah, unless you have stage fright? Are you begging me to pick a different visage for you?

Urk!

[ Um, wait. He didn't mean to LET HER READ HIM IN A SECOND. He gives her a dismissive wave! What's this goddess going on about? His ears are definitely not heating up and she is NOT getting the upper hand. ]

Ahh, quit it! If you want me so badly, then that's what you're getting! I'll take it as a compliment.

Mm, it's fine to be bashful. Not everyone can have divine confidence. If you truly wish to change yourself to please me just turn those soft, light eyes to a sharp red.

[Her hand reaches out to brush his cheek. Oh, she does so hope it'll make him squirm.]

[ Wow, is she trying to Liberace him? Not that he minds (sort of?), but that's fucked up.

He's also not comfortable with this situation. Um. Goddesses shouldn't touch him? It's weird. It's different with their Master, because he knows his Master inside and out, but... Servants are another story. He hasn't flinched yet, but he's scared he might. ]

I think you're misunderstanding what doppelgangers are...

[ Alright.

He takes her hand. ]

Hey, hey, enough of that. You wanted a good time, right? But if the two of us aren't having fun, that's what you call a bad date! You ever been on a bad date before?

[Ishtar blinks in her confusion as he takes her hand.]

You don't think being touched is a good time?

[She doesn't get it. Maybe she doesn't care enough about his personal problems to get it.]

[ It's better if she doesn't care. He can't have issues if no one thinks about them! ]

'Course I think it's a good time. [ A sudden tug, and he pulls her closer. ] But everything's better when you build up to it, right?

[ Lies lies lies. He'd just rather take the lead because it means he's a step ahead. Also their bond levels are probably at like, 1. ]

[Easily she floats close. Close enough that she allows her forehead to bump his when he pulls her in. His breath hits her skin. She smiles.]

Oh, I don't mind a little foreplay if that's what you're into. Tell me, where would you take a goddess on a date?

[Tough luck getting the upper hand now, boy. You're in her territory now.]

[ Grabbing hold of the last remnants of his pride, Yan Qing forces embarrassment down his throat and eases into a smirk. He won't let himself be shaken from even the slightest contact. If it's submission she wants, then she'll have to try a lot harder than that. ]

Heh! Can't say I've ever had a goddess ever come on to me before, buuuut I've got an idea. C'mon.

[ Contrary to what his earlier behavior might tell her, he leads her to one of the more luxurious locations of the ship — the ballroom. The large hall is filled with nothing but soft lights and bright classical music, but he swears it's all a coincidence. Farsighted as he may be, how could he have expected this from the capricious Ishtar? As he steps into the room, his attire dissolves and is quickly replaced with a fitting suit, his sleeves rolled up to show the tattoos on his arms.

He never lets go of her hand. ]

Aren't you going to change?

[Stunning... what a lavish room. Like the high ceiling halls or the atrium in her temples. Ishtar takes a moment to drink in the modern luxury. All of it "classic" but still very new to her. The Grail gives you enough information to function and understand modern achievements, but experiencing them first hand is —

Yan Qing's voice catches her attention. His new outfit has her eyes roaming around his body even more than his pool attire.]

If you insist.

[Ishtar's pink hoodie and pure white swimsuit are gone in a small burst of light. What remains is a blood red dress that covers more of her than what she typically tends to wear.]

[ He nearly whistles, but he's not so boorish that he'd forget where he is. The goal is to give her a good time. While he'd fool around and irritate others with his foul mouth off-duty, it's not as if he doesn't know what to say. ]

Oh, great choice! You're pulling out all the stops today, aincha? I'm flattered.

[ And he does mean it, since he makes a last-minute effort to tweak his colors to match. ]

[Him changing to match her gets Ishtar to quirk a smile. She lowers her flying level so he can have a little height on her. Look! She's giving him a courtesy. He should appreciate it! Though she mostly does it so that it's more obvious when she reaches to his face to thread her fingers through the locks of hair that frame his face.]

If you keep this up I might just have to reward you at the end.
