[It was another night in the town of Blackgale, with no moon in sight to set the dark sky aglow amid the blanket of stars. The lack of moonlight, however, was not stopping the local (and only) witch, Amelia Steinbeck, from doing a much needed patrol for this particular night. After all, when a demon from the darkest realm from who knows where comes to ones doorstep with the intention of murder, there's probably others lurking around.

That wasn't going to do, not at all.


Of course, she had to be at school soon for an early morning meeting... But hey, it's high school and she was always on time no matter what, thanks to magic. And thus, Amelia began to wander around in the streets, with a green flame flickering in one hand-- only visible to her, other magic users, and a magnet for more demons.

It's a little late for that now, isn't it?

[recluserose]

Yes. Yes it is. Shame really, I should have kept my word.

[spellbent]

...

It's not like I have to leave anytime soon, you know.

[recluserose]

[Glances at him] Were you planning to?

[spellbent]

[ He shrugs ] I'm pretty sure I can compensate for the time difference between worlds whenever I do go back, since now I know there is one. I can probably stay a day or two, if you don't mind the company.

[recluserose]

... I wouldn't mind so long as you stay out of trouble.

[spellbent]

I can't promise trouble won't find me, but I promise not to start any.

[recluserose]

That's a good promise as any. You're going to need a place to stay though.

[spellbent]

I suppose I am.

[recluserose]

[AWKWARD SILENCE.JPG]

[spellbent]

[ SIGH ] I only know one person in this place, and that's you.

[recluserose]

Alright, alright, I get it. It's not like I can't make an extra room so...

[spellbent]

Thank you.

Are you about ready to call it a night, or--?

[recluserose]

Now's a good time as any. [She nods at Aiden who waves goodnight and disappears into the back room. She stands up albeit, unsteadily]

Ah!

[spellbent]

Easy there. [ he moves to steady her. Once he's sure she's not going to fall over, he fishes his wallet out of his pocket and tosses some cash onto the bar. He at least tips well. ]

Can you make it?

[recluserose]

I'm a bit woozy, but... [Snaps her finger-- some green sparks appear] I should be able to manage.

[spellbent]

... All right. After you.

[recluserose]

[With a gentle sweep of her hand, they are enveloped by light so that they're transported to her house or specifically INSIDE her house.

The interior of her home is cozy and the ceilings are high and slanted. It's clean and it looks like a regular place with some vintage furniture here and there-- probably not exactly neat as seeing how there's stacks of books against the wall and some in the middle of the floor. But it's just like she says. The living room ceiling is covered with wind chimes of varying shapes and sizes, but even their arrival doesn't seem to stir any movement or sound in them. The kitchen is right next to the living room and there's a hallway ... That seems rather mysterious. One would think this was a normal house with perhaps up to four bedrooms, but looking down the hallway gives one an odd feeling that there's more space to be had than what seems to be on the surface.

Amelia's teleported them in the middle of her living room.

And she's knocked over a stack of books.]

Oops.

[spellbent]

[ He gives the hallway a glance- he's well acquainted with the idea of hammerspace- before moving to steady Amelia again, looping an arm around her shoulders ]

Oops indeed. What are you like when you've had six drinks?

[recluserose]

After six drinks, I'm marginally more pleasant.

[spellbent]

That's all well and good, but after six drinks, can you walk?

[recluserose]

[Shifting away from the arm around her shoulders so she can collapse onto the sofa with a hand on her head]

Barely. Not without tilting back and forth I believe.

[spellbent]

[ he shrugs, plopping onto the couch next to her ] You're tilting back and forth now.

[recluserose]

[Untying her hair looking a tad bit irate]

Not THAT badly.

[spellbent]

Sorry, sorry. I ramble when I drink, that's why I don't do it often.
