[After a wild weekend in the town of Blackgale, specifically at Amelia's house, the witch spent most of her time smoothing things over with the questioning locals, grading all of her student's neglected essays, and trying to apologize to the talking cat commune for not warning them about the huge human gathering. It's tough being the only witch in town sometimes. She needed to relax. What does she plan?

Why, another trip to Las Vegas, Nevada of course! Well, it wasn't so much to enjoy the tempting offers of Sin City, but to visit the person Amelia was now comfortable calling a friend, the owner of the... interesting club, Griffonx. Madigan of course!

A quick magic teleportation and search for the hidden club later, Amelia opens up the door to the establishment, dressed casually.

It should be a normal day with nothing unexpected happening whatsoever...]

Should we be worried? They both have magic to defend themselves, but I'm surprised they left without telling us.

[He pauses, then corrects himself.]

I'm surprised Amelia left without telling us.

I think they're fine, just lost. It's easy to get separated with all these people around.

[mjolnir_time]

This is true. Although trouble does tend to find my brother no matter where he is.

[He scans the crowd again.]

I suppose they will find their way back to us. They both have the means to search us out.

[griffonix]

If trouble does find him, we're bound to find out- it'll probably attract a crowd.

In the meantime, is there anything else you'd care to see?

[ she sweeps an arm. It's dark now, but it might as well be midday on the strip. From the Luxor, its singular beam shooting into the night, to Circus Circus, with its smiling sign and colorful lights. There's a lot they haven't seen yet. ]

[She is most likely correct about Loki. That's not exactly a comforting thought, but there's really nothing else they can do about it right now.

He looks down the street again.]

There are so many lights. I have never seen anything like this, not even in Asgard. You have turned night into day.

[griffonix]

Humans are ingenious things, when you come down to it.

You are indeed. And none of this is done with magic?

[At that moment their conversation is interrupted by the sound of an explosion not too far down the street.]

... You were saying something about trouble drawing a crowd?

[griffonix]

[ Madigan just grins ] Ah, that must be the sirens!

... Not the ones we talked to earlier.

[mjolnir_time]

There are more of them?

[There doesn't seem to be any panic in the crowd, and Madigan doesn't seem worried.]

I take it this is not trouble we need worry about?

[griffonix]

No, no. This is a show that they put on in front of one of the casinos. "The Sirens of Treasure Island". Believe me, there's nothing supernatural about these ladies- least of all their abilities to lip-synch.

[mjolnir_time]

[He just shakes his head.]

Some things here are very confusing.

[griffonix]

[ She takes his hand, tugging him towards Treasure Island ]

Come on. Maybe we can catch the end of it.

[mjolnir_time]

[He smiles and follows her willingly.

He's looking at all the people and buildings as they go by, and probably looks like a complete tourist.]

[griffonix]

[ She watches him for a moment, letting out a little laugh ] You look a little awestruck.

[mjolnir_time]

[He gives her a slightly sheepish smile.]

It is an impressive sight.

Even compared to Asgard?

[mjolnir_time]

It is impressive in a different way. At home everything is familiar, so I no longer see the scope of it.

[griffonix]

That's fair enough.

... I'd still like to see it one day. Your home, I mean.

[mjolnir_time]

I did promise to take you there one day.

[Now there's a thought.]

If we can find my brother again, and if he will agree, today might be that day.

[griffonix]

This is turning out to be quite the day.

Do not raise your hopes just yet. We may find Loki again, but I do not know if he will consent to use his magic to help us travel there.

It's worth a shot. Either way, I spent the day in good company.

I agree, and I am glad you think so.

[By now they've probably approached the crowd around Treasure Island. Being tall is an advantage, so Thor can look over most of the crowd to see the show they're watching.]

... Those are the sirens?

[griffonix]

Those would be them, yes.

[ She's not exactly short, even less so when she's wearing heels, so she pauses a moment to watch ]

You know, I almost auditioned once.

[He's a little captivated by the performance, but he looks to her in slight surprise.]

You would enjoy dancing in so little clothing for all to watch?
